Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Welcome to the Experience Tasmania Tours App, your travel companion for discovering the best of Tasmania with us, in your language. The app turns Experience Tasmania Tours itineraries into immersive, informative audio guides.
Key Features:
Multilingual Support: Tour content is available in 7 languages: English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Japanese and Chinese. Travellers from around the world can enjoy every part of their journey in their own language.
Voice Customisation: Choose a male or female narrator for a more personal experience.
Expertly Crafted Tasmanian Itineraries: Explore itineraries designed by the Experience Tasmania Tours team, packed with local knowledge, stories and highlights from across the island.
Location-Based Content: The app uses GPS to play commentary that matches your exact location, so you hear the right story at the right place.
Offline Access: Download tours and maps in advance and use them offline. That makes the app ideal for Tasmania's remote wilderness areas, where mobile coverage can be limited.
User-Friendly Interface: The app is simple and intuitive, so your trip stays smooth and enjoyable.
Community and Feedback: Share your experiences and leave feedback on tours to help other travellers find the best of Tasmania.
How to Use the App:
Search and Select Tours: Search for a tour by city, region, tour name or free text, or pick one from the list of available itineraries.
Download Tour Content and Maps: For the best experience and lower data use, download the tour content and maps to your device before you set off.
Activate Tour Mode: Turn on tour mode and follow the route to receive location-based content. The tour mode toggle is at the top right of the map modal.
Background Music Integration: Play music from your favourite app in the background. The app automatically lowers the volume when commentary begins.
Battery Conservation: In tour mode, use a power bank or car charger, and turn tour mode off when you're not using it to save battery.
Customise Your Experience: You can change the voice and language at any time from the settings menu during a tour or from the account screen.
