Reminders are back to being easy to notice. Your daily check-in and key-person reminders arrive with a sound again, and anyone you haven’t caught up with in a while gets a gentle mention once a week instead of quietly dropping out.

Close By 1.4 is about the people, not the list. • Faces on Today. Turn on contact photos (they stay on your iPhone), and see a short reason to reach out on every card: what you talked about last time and what to ask next. • Remember what to ask. After you catch up, jot down anything to ask about next time, with an optional date. It comes back right when you need it. • A gentler rhythm. Reminders now have some give in them, so a hello never feels like clockwork. If time slips by, it's simply "whenever you're ready". No red, no counts. • Pause someone until a date when you or they are busy. They come back gently, with no backlog. • Birthdays from Contacts, a birthday card on the day with a ready-to-send message, and a heads-up a week before. • Catching up feels like something now, with a warm moment when you log it. • Quieter notifications, a calendar that looks two months ahead, and lots of small polish.

Remind me later now has an “In 3 days” option, alongside tomorrow and next week. Your reminders stay on schedule even if you haven’t opened Close By for a while. A fresh new icon, with dark and tinted versions for your Home Screen. Plus clearer wording throughout, and Close By now tells you if something couldn’t be saved instead of failing quietly.

The feedback option in Settings was greyed out and couldn't be tapped. That's fixed, so you can reach us again. Report crashes properly, which means problems get found and fixed a lot faster. Analytics stay anonymous, and you can turn them off anytime in Settings.

When your circle is full, Close By now explains it clearly instead of leaving you stuck. You'll see how to make room: archive someone you're not keeping up with right now, and their notes, dates, and history stay saved for whenever you want to restore them.

Close By has a fresh new look: a calmer "Harbour Light" palette, refreshed screens, and a brand-new app icon, in both light and dark mode. Same app, same reminders, everything right where you left it.
