NOTIFICATIONS - Push notifications work again on devices that had quietly stopped receiving them. If yours went silent, this update is the fix. - The app icon badge finally means something. It shows a real count - unread messages, new likes, new matches, and replies from us - instead of sitting on 1 forever, and it updates every time you open the app. WHO CAN SEE ME - Your "Who can see me" setting now works in both directions. Members outside the age range you set will not see you, and their likes will not appear in your list. Nothing is deleted: widen the range and they come straight back. A NEW SETTING - "Only matches can message me." Off unless you turn it on, in Profile > User Preferences. With it on, only people you have matched with can start a new conversation with you. Conversations you already have keep working as normal, and it does not change who can see your profile. PHOTOS - If you have not added a main photo yet, we now ask for one when you open the app. You can choose "Not right now" - nothing is taken away either way. We ask because the app works better when people can see who they are talking to. - Adding a photo is now part of finishing a new signup. ALSO IN THIS VERSION - Your background color follows your account instead of the device, so it looks the same everywhere you sign in. - The User Manual has been rewritten and corrected, and for the first time it can be read in any of the languages the app supports. - In Discover, the "see more" link no longer overlaps the pass button, so your tap goes where you aimed it. - The like heart is the same red everywhere it appears, including on Apple Watch. - The contact address in the Privacy Policy and Terms now opens an email. - The Privacy Policy says plainly that your device location may be precise, and that other members only ever see your city and state.

Fixed a crash that could close the app when you opened your Profile tab. If the app was shutting down when you tried to finish your profile, this is the fix. You can now change the email address we send to. Open Edit Profile and look for "Your email", just under your phone number. It is private, never shown to other members, and it does not change how you sign in. If you signed up with Apple and chose Hide My Email, this is how you give us an address you actually read. Deleted a photo by mistake? Photos can now be recovered instead of being gone for good. Clearer wording when a password is turned down because it has appeared in a data breach somewhere else, with a safe suggestion you can use instead. Your photos, your way Swipe to any photo in your gallery and tap "Make this my profile picture." The first photo is always your profile picture — shown once, never twice, and duplicates are politely refused. Pick the color behind the app Six backgrounds to choose from — you'll find them in your profile settings. Today's Match respects your filters Your daily pick now honors the age, distance and preference filters you set, so it never suggests someone you asked not to see. A new look The script D replaces the old mark throughout the app, with a redrawn sign-in screen, one consistent verified badge, and switches that turn green so you can read them at a glance. Better framed photos Profile pictures are now cropped the same way on every screen, so faces line up the way you would expect. Also in this release The D in any header takes you Home.
