AI NewsFetch
News from everywhere. Context from everywhere else.
AI NewsFetch is a privacy-first news aggregator that shows you the news that actually matters to where you are — from your local council to the other side of the world.
YOUR NEWS, YOUR SCOPE
Switch between four geographic levels at any time:
• Local — stories within 20, 50, or 100 km of you
• State — your state or province
• National — your country
• Worldwide — international news beyond your borders
AI NewsFetch uses your location only to filter what you see. Your coordinates are never sent to any external server.
GO DEEPER WITH EVERY STORY
Every article includes a Further Reading section that surfaces related academic papers, studies, and independent sources from arXiv and Semantic Scholar — so you can read beyond the headline and understand the evidence behind the story.
COMMUNITY-CURATED SOURCES
Sources are maintained by the community, not an algorithm. Upvote reliable outlets, flag misleading ones, and submit new sources you think others should know about. The pool includes mainstream, independent, and alternative publications.
NO PAYWALLS IN YOUR WAY
AI NewsFetch automatically detects paywalled articles and searches for a free version so you can keep reading without hitting a dead end.
BUILT FOR PRIVACY
• No ads, no trackers, no analytics SDKs
• Your reading history stays on your device (auto-deleted after 30 days)
• Your NewsAPI key is stored in the iOS Keychain — never transmitted or logged
• Settings sync privately across your own devices via iCloud
POWERFUL FILTERING
Filter by topic across 11 categories: Politics, Business & Finance, Technology, Environment, Health, Sport, World, Community, Entertainment, Crime & Justice, and Science. Filter by language, source type, or individual outlet.
WORKS WITHOUT AN ACCOUNT
AI NewsFetch works out of the box using GDELT and community RSS feeds. Optionally add a free NewsAPI key (newsapi.org) for broader headline coverage — 100 requests per day, tracked and managed automatically.
