Talon Tally is a fast, private expense tracker built for solo founders, consultants, side businesses, and small LLC owners who need clean business records without full accounting software. Add expenses in seconds, scan receipts with on-device OCR, track recurring subscriptions, and unlock tax-ready CSV and PDF summaries with Premium when it is time to hand records to your accountant. Built for owner-operated businesses: Track business expenses by year, month, category, and vendor. Add receipts by camera scan, photo import, or file import. Review OCR results before saving anything. Mark expenses as deductible, partially deductible, or needs review. Record business-use percentage for mixed-use purchases. Track mileage and recurring software subscriptions, hosting, domains, filing fees, and other repeat costs. See dashboard totals for yearly spend, deductible estimates, missing receipts, subscriptions, and top categories. Track marketplace income and organize invoices. With Premium, export CSV and PDF summaries locally from your device. Export or restore a complete JSON backup for free. Optionally enable Premium private iCloud Drive sync for continuity across your Apple devices. Use guided, recovery-first migration when establishing the shared dataset on a new sync release. Optionally forward receipts to tally@talontally.com with the Premium email shortcut. Use dark mode, light mode, or system appearance. Talon Tally is local-first by design. There is no required account for core expense tracking or JSON backup, no bank connection, and no ad tracking. Premium iCloud Drive sync, email receipt forwarding, and invoicing are optional. Talon Tally 1.3 introduces a cleaner five-tab layout with quicker access to expenses, income, subscriptions, and reports. Adding an expense now opens in a focused editor without taking you away from your current section. Private iCloud sync is more resilient when changes happen close together and continues to use a versioned, conflict-aware format with guided, recovery-first migration. This update also improves field clarity, dashboard readability, and invoice/import stability.
