Snap a bird and see what it most likely is, with a confidence score. Then keep it: a collection with XP and badges, a dated journal and a map of every find. You saw a bird. What was it, and where do you keep it? Snap or pick a photo and BirdQuest AI tells you what it most likely is, with a confidence score. Then it goes into your collection, your journal and your map. IDENTIFY FROM A PHOTO Take a photo in the app or choose one from your library. You get the common and scientific name, how rare the species is, and how confident the identification is. If there's no bird in the photo, BirdQuest tells you instead of guessing. AI can be wrong, especially with distant, blurry or half-hidden birds, so the confidence is always shown. LEARN ABOUT EACH SPECIES Every result comes with size, diet, habitat, a written description of its voice, conservation status, fun facts, and a kid-friendly note that's easy to read aloud. ASK THE AI BIRD EXPERT Why is that robin on the lawn at dawn? What should go in the feeder? Ask in a chat and get a plain-language answer. BUILD YOUR COLLECTION Save every bird you identify. Earn XP, unlock badges and take on daily quests: a small reason to look out the window again tomorrow. Good for backyard birders, and for kids starting their first life list. A JOURNAL AND A MAP OF YOUR FINDS Each sighting is saved with its date and, when you allow location, where you were. Add your own field notes. The map shows everywhere you've found birds. A CAMERA MADE FOR BIRDS Zoom, exposure, tap-to-focus and a grid, so a small bird on a far branch still has a chance. YOUR PHOTOS AND YOUR ACCOUNT Sign in with Apple or with an email account. To identify a bird, your photo is sent securely to our server and our AI provider. It is not stored on our servers after the identification; the photo stays in your collection on your device. Your saved birds, journal entries and questions are kept in your account, and you can delete the account and its data from the app at any time. No ads. No tracking. FREE, WITH OPTIONAL PREMIUM The free app includes everything above, with 10 AI uses a day when you sign in with Apple (3 a day with an email account). Identifications and expert questions share that allowance. BirdQuest Premium raises it to up to 100 a day (fair use). Nothing else is locked. Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly. Eligible accounts can start with a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase and renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
