WHAT IN THE WORLD IS THIS APP????? I have seen more intelligent scheduling decisions made by a microwave clock. I have seen more intuitive interfaces on a printer from 2007. I have seen better task management from a POST-IT NOTE STUCK TO A WALL. AND THE POST-IT NOTE DOESN’T CHARGE ME A PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTION TO DISAPPOINT ME.Tether is an ADHD planner that somehow makes having ADHD feel like the EASY PART. LET THAT SINK IN. The app that is SUPPOSED to help you manage your executive dysfunction has apparently decided that the best course of action is to BECOME ANOTHER SOURCE OF IT. ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. GIVE THESE PEOPLE A STANDING OVATION. 👏👏👏THE UI LOOKS LIKE SOMEBODY FED THE WORDS “PRODUCTIVITY APP” INTO AN AI, LET IT VIBECODE FOR 36 HOURS, ADDED SOME ROUNDED CORNERS AND GRADIENTS, AND THEN DECLARED VICTORY. WOW!!! LOOK AT THOSE COLORS!!! LOOK AT THOSE CARDS!!! LOOK AT THAT BEAUTIFUL LITTLE DASHBOARD THAT SOMEHOW DOES NOT MAKE ME WANT TO USE THE APP!!! IT’S LIKE BUYING A BEAUTIFUL SPORTS CAR THAT TURNS OUT TO BE A SHOPPING CART WITH A FERRARI LOGO GLUED ONTO IT.And don’t even GET ME STARTED on the task breakdown. This feature is an absolute comedy show. You give it a task, something a competent planner should be able to help you approach, and it starts generating sub-tasks like it is being paid by the WORD. Congratulations, Tether! My original task was already difficult, and now I have 11 beautifully formatted reasons to procrastinate. THIS IS NOT TASK DECOMPOSITION. THIS IS TASK INFLATION. YOU HAVE INVENTED PRODUCTIVITY INFLATION. THE ECONOMY IS IN SHAMBLES AND SO IS MY TO-DO LIST.AND THE SCHEDULING??? WHO IS RUNNING THIS THING??? A RANDOM NUMBER GENERATOR??? A GUY THROWING DARTS AT A CLOCK??? A ROOM FULL OF INTERNALLY SCREAMING HAMSTERS???It schedules things at times that make absolutely NO SENSE. Apparently this app believes that time is a fictional concept and that human beings are robots who can instantly transition between tasks with zero context, zero fatigue, and zero need to EXIST OUTSIDE OF A CALENDAR. You ask for help planning your day and Tether responds with a schedule that looks like it was negotiated by two countries that hate each other.I genuinely want to know what the algorithm thinks it is accomplishing. Is there a secret objective here? Is it testing my resilience? Is this an elaborate psychological experiment to determine how many terrible scheduling decisions a person can endure before they throw their phone into a lake? BECAUSE IF SO, CONGRATULATIONS. THE RESEARCH IS GOING GREAT.AND THEN THEY HAVE THE AUDACITY TO CHARGE THIS MUCH MONEY.FOR WHAT????? THE PRIVILEGE OF BEING CONFUSED????? A MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION TO THE EXPERIENCE OF THINKING “WHY ON EARTH DID IT SCHEDULE THAT THERE?” OVER AND OVER AGAIN?????At these prices, I expect the app to personally apologize every time it makes a stupid decision. I expect it to write me a handwritten letter. I expect it to call a press conference, admit its failures, and announce the immediate resignation of whoever was responsible for its scheduling logic.Tether has the pricing confidence of a world-class product and the execution of a group project where everybody assumed somebody else was doing the work. That is what makes this so funny. The app is supposed to REDUCE FRICTION. Instead, it has somehow turned basic organization into a competitive endurance sport. It is supposed to help people get started, but now I need to spend my time figuring out the app, correcting its decisions, reorganizing its nonsense, and wondering whether the developers have ever seen a calendar before.THE APP IS CALLED TETHER BECAUSE IT IS APPARENTLY TRYING TO KEEP ME TETHERED TO MY PHONE WHILE I SPEND MY ENTIRE DAY FIXING ITS MISTAKES. I AM NOT EVEN JOKING. THAT NAME IS STARTING TO SOUND LIKE A THREAT.And the whole vibecoded aesthetic makes it even funnier. Everything looks like it was designed to make a venture capitalist say “WOW, THIS IS THE FUTURE” during a 90-second demo, before anybody actually attempts to use the product for more than five minutes. It is giving “we have 47 AI features” and “we forgot to make the basic features work properly.” It is giving “the landing page is finished, ship the product.” It is giving “the waitlist was the real product all along.”SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN WHY WE ARE ACCEPTING THIS AS NORMAL. WHY DOES EVERY APP NOW HAVE TO LOOK LIKE A STARTUP’S AI-GENERATED VISION BOARD??? WHY CAN’T A PLANNER JUST BE A GOOD PLANNER??? WHY DOES MY TASK MANAGER NEED TO LOOK LIKE IT WAS DESIGNED BY A DESIGNER WHO HAS NEVER COMPLETED A TASK???FINAL VERDICT: TETHER IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN AESTHETICS GET PROMOTED TO CEO AND FUNCTIONALITY GETS FIRED.A planner that makes planning harder. A task breakdown feature that makes tasks more overwhelming. A scheduler that appears to have a personal vendetta against reasonable time management. And a price tag that seems to have been determined by asking, “How much would a GREAT app charge?” rather than “How good is OUR app, actually?”ABSOLUTELY OUTRAGEOUS. A CATASTROPHIC FAILURE OF PRODUCTIVITY. A FIVE-ALARM FIRE IN THE APP STORE.I HAVE SEEN FREE APPS WITH THREE BUTTONS AND A WHITE BACKGROUND ACCOMPLISH MORE. I HAVE SEEN EXCEL SPREADSHEETS WITH BETTER USER EXPERIENCE. EXCEL!!! THE PROGRAM PEOPLE OPEN WHEN THEY HAVE ALREADY GIVEN UP ON HAVING FUN!!!TETHER, GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER. FIX THE SCHEDULING. FIX THE TASK BREAKDOWN. FIX THE UI. AND THEN TAKE A LONG, HARD LOOK AT THAT PRICE TAG.UNTIL THEN, THIS IS NOT A PRODUCTIVITY REVOLUTION. THIS IS A SUBSCRIPTION-BASED WAY TO EXPERIENCE NEW AND EXCITING FORMS OF FRUSTRATION.TERRIBLE EXECUTION. QUESTIONABLE VALUE. UNBELIEVABLE CONFIDENCE. SAD!!! VERY, VERY SAD!!!Disclaimer: This is a fictional, satirical review written for comedic effect. The exaggerated claims and insults are part of the joke and should not be treated as an indep
