Food Scan Overlay — Meal Selector Redesign The big change: The meal assignment UI (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner / Snack) was completely redesigned inside FoodScanCloudOverlay. Before: Meal selection was a floating "cloud-shaped" row (mealRowClouds) that hovered above the result card, using mini cloud silhouettes with composited circles — visually cute but clunky and separate from the result card. After: Meal selection is now an inline section inside the result card, placed right above the Log button with a divider separating it. It shows: - A header line: "Adding to [Meal]" with an icon - A "Change" label - A horizontal pill-button row for all 4 meal types — filled gradient when selected, tinted when not Other Changes - Background cloud puffs — bgCloud() (crisp composited circles) was replaced with puff() (soft blurred ellipses). Softer, more atmospheric look. - Ad timing fix — AdManager.shared.showInterstitialIfNeeded() was moved from firing immediately after the user submits a scan to after the result comes back (when phase transitions to .result). This avoids showing an ad before the user even sees their food result. - Spacing — The main VStack spacing in the overlay dropped from 28 → 0.

Your scanned meal photos now appear everywhere in the app — in your log, planner, and dashboard — so you always see your actual food instead of a generic stock image. Generating a new meal plan automatically replaces the previous plan's upcoming meals with your new ones. Your history and anything you already logged are never touched. You can now mark any meal as eaten — including snacks — directly from your food log or the planner. Partial portions (25%, 50%, 75%, all of it) work in both places, with leftovers handled the same way. Bug fixes and performance improvements.

FreshPlate locks them in after the first load so what you see is always what you'll cook. What's New in Version 1.0.1 Quick-Search Chip Previews The cuisine chips at the top of the Ideas tab (Pasta, Sushi, Tacos, etc.) now show a food photo thumbnail so you can see what you're about to search before you tap. Onboarding Tour Rework The first-launch app tour has been completely revamped. It now starts on your Profile page and walks you through every feature in a logical order. Tour cards are properly centered on screen, the tab bar arrows point at the correct buttons, and all five tab bar tabs remain fully tappable throughout the entire tour.
