Explore the Christoforos shipwreck of Skopelos island through Augmented and Virtual Reality!
Discover the Christoforos shipwreck through an immersive digital experience by Skopelos Dive Center, combining Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies.
The application invites users to explore one of Skopelos’ remarkable underwater landmarks in an immersive, engaging, and educational way. Through the specially designed AR leaflet, users can scan the pages and access interactive digital content, visual elements, and key information that bring the story of the Christoforos shipwreck to life.
At the same time, the VR experience allows users to virtually explore the Christoforos shipwreck and navigate through selected points of interest. Through this experience, users can learn more about the vessel, its history, its underwater environment, and its importance as part of Underwater Cultural Heritage.
The application is designed for visitors, divers, students, researchers, and anyone interested in discovering the underwater world in an engaging, and educational way.
The printed leaflet is available at Skopelos Dive Center in Skopelos, where visitors can learn more about the experience, discover the available diving activities, and begin their digital journey to the Christoforos shipwreck.
Explore the shipwreck, uncover its story, and experience a new form of cultural and diving tourism through digital technology.
