Bring in the recordings you already have. Import an audio or video file — a Voice Memos recording of an in-person meeting, a Zoom or Teams recording, an interview — and MeetingMemo turns it into a meeting just like one you recorded: a full transcript, the speakers told apart as Speaker 1, Speaker 2 and so on, and the same summary and action items your recordings get. Choose File > Import Audio or Video, click Import on the dashboard, or drop files onto the window or the Dock icon. You can import several at once. Just like your recordings, the file is transcribed on your Mac and its audio is never uploaded for processing. Imports run in the background, pause while you record, and pick up where they left off if you quit. Also in this update: if you quit while a transcript is still being cleaned up, it now finishes the next time you open the app, and a title you rename stays put when you regenerate the summary.

Know who said what. MeetingMemo can now tell apart the people on the other end of your call, label them Speaker 1, Speaker 2 and so on, and let you rename them to who they actually are. Those names carry through to your transcript, your exports, and the summaries and chat built from them. If one person ends up split across two labels, you can merge them in a click. Turn it on in Settings, under Transcription. Like every other part of the app, it runs on your Mac after the recording stops — your audio never leaves the device. It is marked Beta while we keep tuning it. Transcript clean-up now runs after the meeting rather than during it, so it knows who was speaking and gives you a tidier read.
