I have had fatigue with other platforms being so busy and reminding me too much of social media. I’ve been reading my physical, bound Bible more than anything this past year. However, since I’ve added Midian into the mix of my Bible study, my appreciation of the original Hebrew has grown. There are so many connections being made in my understanding while using the Wander feature. For example, I gave the prompt of “Tell me about the Tower of Babel in a fresh way”. Wander will pull cross references, compile a Hebrew word study, look at theological context, and more to answer my question. I now look at the Tower of Babel as when God rescued humanity from a united rebellion. United in their language. United in their sin. With Midian, I can see scripture unfolding with a new depth and it’s honestly pretty great. Try out “Wander”, I dare you.

Nothing against YouVersion, but Midian is a game changer! It helps me in my private time with the Lord. It is the best compliment to my typical reading of a physical Bible. I still read my physical Bible, but Midian Bible App is the best to use alongside my physical reading for exploring word meanings and more in depth study. When I am on the go or in church, I am using Midian now. For a prayer room that I lead at my church, Midian has become irreplaceable. The Wander feature on Midian helps me explore the Bible beautifully and put together outlines for learning the Word, praying the Word! It helps me spend less time researching and organizing, and more time with the Lord and listening to His voice. It's time to ditch YouVersion and get Midian!

I am, truthfully, not a person that is open to much change so I was quite nervous and skeptical about moving to a different study platform. However, I am incredibly fond of the layout of this app. I feel like it comes with ease and is actually a lot easier to adjust to than I expected. My favorite features are wander and desk. Being able to pin my thoughts to a desk and reference back to them throughout my study REALLY comes in handy for my mom brain. Anyway, I highly recommend giving it a try!!

Midian is in beta right now, so I found a couple of quirks, but it opens a whole new way of approaching the Bible and I love using it for different times when my curiosity is invested in a particular passage. I’m really excited to see it at full power.
