Flop Fantasy is the reverse-logic. You draft the players you expect to underperform and when they melt down on the biggest stage of all, you cash in.
Every red card. Every own goal. Every clanger. Every missed penalty. Every miserable 0-3 thrashing. All of it earns you points.
How it works
Build a squad of 15 players (2 goalkeepers, 5 defenders, 5 midfielders, 3 forwards). Pick your worst 11 to start each matchday. Name a captain who doubles their flop points. Maximum 3 players per nation in the group stage, relaxed for knockouts. Free transfers vary by round; going over costs minus 4 points per extra.
Every event scores in reverse
Red card: plus 7
Own goal: plus 10
Missed penalty: plus 5
Yellow card: plus 2
No clean sheet for defenders or goalkeepers: plus 4
Worst-rated player of the match: plus 3, plus 2, or plus 1
Did not play: minus 3
And the things normally rewarded all hurt your team: goals scored, assists, clean sheets.

FIXES
• Did Not Play (-3) penalty now correctly triggers for players who don't feature in a finished match. Captain doublings for a DNP star (like the GW1 Gyökeres situation) now flow through correctly.
• Live fixture status now flips from Scheduled → Live → Finished automatically via the FPL feed.
• Squad update timestamps are accurate again — no more false "just edited" signals from background scoring.
