New: three free hints per case, trophies, every locale in its own colors, and the whole game in Spanish. Still no guessing, ever. A fresh free case every day.
Every room has a story. One hides a killer.
Roomers is a cozy murder-mystery logic puzzle. Each case is a crime scene: a floor plan divided into rooms, furnished with tables, chairs, and secrets. Place every suspect so each row and column holds exactly one person, follow each suspect's clue, and when the board is solved, accuse. The murderer is whoever ends up alone in a room with the victim.
NO GUESSING, EVER
Every case has exactly one solution, provable by pure deduction. If you're stuck, the answer is already on the board. You just haven't seen it yet.
STUCK? THREE FREE HINTS
The lightbulb nudges you in three steps: who to look at, which room, then the exact square. Free and unlimited, with a switch in Settings if you'd rather go without.
THE DAILY CASE, FREE
One fresh case a day, the same for every detective in the world. Build a streak. Defend it.
41 HAND-CHECKED CASE FILES, FREE
From gentle 6×6 warm-ups to expert 8×8 brain-benders, across twenty themed locales: dinner parties, ski lodges, aquariums, lighthouses, and grandma's house. Each locale has its own colors now, light and dark, and solved cases file themselves away.
TROPHIES
Twelve to earn: a flawless case, a week-long streak, a case in every locale, a solve after midnight. The win screen tells you when you've set a new best for a difficulty.
ROOMERS UNLIMITED: ONE PURCHASE, YOURS FOREVER
• Endless cases: conjure a brand-new, never-before-seen mystery on demand, at any difficulty.
• The Daily Case archive: reopen every daily you missed.
• No subscription. No account. No ads. Works completely offline.
MADE FOR IPHONE AND IPAD
On iPad, play full screen in portrait or landscape. In landscape the clue cards sit beside the board, detective's-desk style.
EN ESPAÑOL
The whole game, clue sentences included, follows your device language: English or Spanish.
BUILT TO BE PLAYED BY EVERYONE
VoiceOver with board rotors for furniture, suspects, notes and clue squares. Dynamic Type up to the largest accessibility size. Reduce Motion, Differentiate Without Color, and 4.5:1 contrast throughout. Much of it was shaped by blind and low-vision players who wrote in.
DESIGNED FOR COMFORT
Pencil notes, auto-marking, undo, a furniture legend, satisfying haptics. Follow the system appearance or force Light/Dark, tune clue highlighting (exact squares, rooms only, or off), hold to peek at the board before you accuse, or let a solved board close the case by itself. A timer if you want one; peace if you don't.
I downloaded this after finishing my murdoku books and have loved having an unlimited supply of puzzles. I also really like the stat tracker so I can see my time records.
Developer Response
Thanks, that's good to hear. If a clue ever reads ambiguous, tell me: every case is meant to have exactly one provable answer, and I'd want to fix it. The stats page grows a bit in the next update!Enrique

I think I’ll like this, but how do you actually play??? I’ve filled in the first “Very Easy” puzzle and… then what? I know which character is the murderer — but how do I say so? Needs a tutorial or better instructions
Developer Response
Hi samwiseb, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. Once every suspect is on the board, the button at the bottom of the tools row lights up and says SOLVE THE CASE. Tap it, and if the board holds up you pick the killer from the lineup. On the new updated (1.2) puts up a note the first time you fill a board, points you at the free hint when a board doesn't check out, and opens How to Play with the three steps to close a case. If it still trips you up after that, write to me and I'll fix it.Enrique
This one's a big one, and most of it came from you.
• Hints. Three free steps when you're stuck: who to look at, which room, then the exact square. A player on Reddit asked, and I promised it on the spot. Hints stay free and unlimited, and there's a switch in Settings if you'd rather go without.
• Trophies. Twelve of them, quietly waiting on the Stats page. The win screen now tells you when you've set a new best for a difficulty.
• Every locale has its own colors, light and dark. Closed cases file themselves into a drawer below the open ones.
• On the accusation screen you can hold a button to peek back at the board, and there's a setting that lets a solved board close the case on its own. A player who wrote in asked for both.
• Roomers is in Spanish now. The whole thing, clue sentences included. A blind player from ONCE in Spain asked, then offered to test it.
• For VoiceOver players: four rotors on the board (furniture, suspects, notes, clue squares), a How to Play section written for you, and the terminology fixed where it was backwards. The AppleVis thread made this update.
• Larger text all the way up, Reduce Motion respected everywhere, and contrast fixed in a few places it was quietly bad.
• The first time you fill a board, the game tells you what the lit button does. A reviewer asked "then what?" and he was right.
Keep writing in. I read every email, and it decides what gets built next.
