Two small things that were quietly wrong. Opening the compose sheet is one clean movement again. The card was sliding up while the title box was still settling into its own height, so two animations ran at once. And the gap between a calendar event's colour dot and its time holds still now. It used to shift depending on whether something was running right then, and on a 24-hour clock it sat wider than it needed to. Calendar rows across the app also agree about when an event has actually ended.

Type a task the way you'd say it. Type "gym tue/thu 6pm" and Ritual fills in the repeat and the reminder as you type, then saves the task as just "gym". The words it used are highlighted while you type, and a line under the title shows exactly what will be saved, so nothing disappears without you seeing it. It understands the way you'd actually say it: days, dates and times, "next week", "next wednesday", "in 10 days", "on the 20th", repeats like "every other tuesday", and due dates like "submit report by friday". Numeric dates such as "8/2" read the way your region writes them, and a date that has already passed rolls forward to next year rather than landing behind everything overdue. When Ritual works something out, that field lights up for a moment so you can see it. Anything you set by hand stays exactly as you left it, and your own words are left alone: "sat sun camping trip" and "finish 2nd draft" are just titles.

Task rows are rebuilt. A task date chip and its check circle sit centred and aligned with each other, a project and date read together on one line, and expanding or collapsing a task holds the card top edge exactly still. Settings is easier to scan: notification switches, purchases, appearance, views and the about details each have their own place instead of one long scroll. Views has its own page for Work hours and for filing projects and calendars. A project in neither view is labelled Hidden, and switching view by hand can always be undone. Scrolling to the top of a list stays where you leave it, and the screen title keeps a consistent position on every list. An event you are currently in shows when it ends rather than when it started, and finished events fade back so the day ahead stands out. The Today and Agenda widgets keep up as events begin and end.

Return still takes you from the title straight into the description. - Deadline labels like "In 6 days" now line up with the circles down the right-hand edge. - Scrolling to the top of a list settles with the usual bounce instead of occasionally snapping back.

RITUAL CLOUD Ritual Cloud is new, and entirely optional. It backs your tasks and habits up to Ritual's own server and connects them to any assistant that speaks MCP, so you can ask what is on today, what you have been putting off, or how a habit has really been going — and add or finish tasks just by asking. It has a screen of its own in Settings, tells you what it costs up front, and you sign in only if you actually want it. iCloud sync works exactly as before whether you subscribe or not, and stays free. A new page at ritual.from81.app/mcp lists everything a connected assistant can do, with example wording for each and a clear marker for which ones can change your data. Clients that support it show ready-made starters the moment you connect: plan my day, what I am putting off, weekly review, how a habit is going, where a project stands, and capture something. SYNC YOU CAN TRUST Tags now reach iCloud. Adding or removing a tag on a task, habit or list used to stay on the device that did it, and tags that went missing are restored automatically. Clearing a task's project, due date, reminder or notes now sticks, instead of reappearing a day later. Records that arrived out of order during a sync are retried on every launch, so tasks and subtasks that quietly disappeared come back. Several ways sync could lose work it had not sent yet are closed, including a brief connection problem being mistaken for having no iCloud account. Ritual's data file could grow to hundreds of megabytes of wasted space. It is cleaned up on the next launch — one test device went from 247 MB to 2 MB. Ritual refreshes in the background as it was meant to, so it is more up to date when you open it. THE TASK LIST Task titles get much more room. The due date moved to the second line, beside the project name, so a long title reads further before it cuts off. Titles no longer shift when you open or close a task, and editing a long one wraps onto more lines instead of scrolling sideways under the cursor. Press and hold is reorder, and only reorder. Duplicate and Delete moved into the open task's menu; swiping right still schedules. Your manual order is kept per device, so arranging Today on your phone is not undone by another device later. HABITS The history grid draws much faster, especially for a habit you have kept for a long time. It reads more calmly too: a missed day is a quiet neutral mark rather than a warning colour, and a half-done day shows which slot you did. WIDGETS Much larger check-off targets, tapping one opens the screen it came from, and the Agenda widget shows what is still ahead of you rather than this morning's finished meetings. VOICEOVER The capture panel can be dismissed and keeps focus inside itself, a task's actions are reachable without opening it, and the FAQ says whether an entry is open or shut. PRIVACY A new anonymous usage setting counts things like "a task was completed", so rough edges are findable. It can never carry what you wrote — no titles, no notes, no names — and one tap turns it off.

Multi-select, redesigned Selecting several tasks in Today now keeps your project grouping instead of flattening the list. Tap a project header to select all its tasks, open and close projects while selecting, and pick individual tasks inside them. Drag a selection to reorder it — or drop it onto a project, collapsed or open, to move those tasks in, with a highlight and a haptic tap to show the target. Swipe a project to select all its tasks, and set or clear a start date or deadline across the whole selection at once. Cleaner Today Project and routine groups have a tidier look: the expand arrow sits on the left and animates open and closed, with the select box or progress ring on the right. Tap a habit inside an expanded routine to open its details. Calendar event times line up into clean columns. Widgets The Today and Agenda widgets put the checkbox and check-in on the right, matching the app, and calendar times line up neatly in the large widget. Share to Ritual Sharing a web page to Ritual now shows a clean, compact confirmation card with the saved item's title and a one-tap "Add to Today," instead of the old system dialog.
