Riesgo País App

Country risk: Argentina, LatAm

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

New: swipe through 32 years of Economic Freedom and see what moved it. Plus Argentina's country risk and the region's, with widgets in every size. Riesgo País App tracks Argentina's country risk day by day, with its full history since 1999, and compares it with seven other Latin American countries. In English and Spanish. THE CHART • Seven days, one month, three months, one year or the full series. • Touch and drag to read the exact value of any day. • The history comes with the app: it opens instantly and then downloads only what's new. IN CONTEXT A number alone says little. Below the chart, the app puts it in perspective: • The spread: how much more than the United States the country pays to borrow. • Where today's value stands against its whole history. • The range of the last year. • How it compares with the rest of the region. WIDGET • Every size, on the Home Screen and the Lock Screen. • Light and dark mode, following the system. • Touch and hold it, then tap Edit Widget to choose the country and the chart period. EIGHT COUNTRIES Argentina, with daily data from Rava Bursátil. Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela, with the monthly average published by the Central Reserve Bank of Peru. The country you pick carries across the app: the chart, Economic Freedom and the calculator. ECONOMIC FREEDOM The Heritage Foundation's Index of Economic Freedom, with 32 years of history (1995–2026): each country's score, its world rank and the components behind it, from property rights to financial freedom. Drag across the chart to see every component in any year. CALCULATOR Enter an amount and a term, and see both sides of the bet: what you'd collect if the country pays, what you'd recover if it defaults, and what you'd have in U.S. Treasury bonds instead. The app also shows the default probability the market is pricing in. WHAT IS COUNTRY RISK It's the extra interest a country pays to borrow, compared with U.S. Treasury bonds, which are taken as risk-free. It's measured in basis points: 100 points equal one percentage point. The benchmark is J.P. Morgan's EMBI index. No accounts, no ads and no tracking. The app only checks for new data during market hours, so it uses very little battery and data. This information is for reference only and is not financial advice.

  • This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.

• The app is now also in English, following your iPhone's language. • Economic Freedom: drag across the chart to see each year's components, back to 1995. • The country you pick in Country Risk now carries over to Economic Freedom. • Widget: "Country Risk" on top, with the country below. • If the monthly data source doesn't respond, the app shows the last saved value instead of leaving the countries blank.
