A new chain every day. Same word for everyone.
Today's chain gives you one root word — say TOMATO in Vegetables. You spell it out letter by letter, and every letter has to be answered with another word from the same category: a vegetable starting with T, then O, then M, all the way to the end. Every letter has its own countdown.
Everybody playing today gets the same chain, so you can compare without spoiling it.
THE DAILY CHAIN

A STREAK THAT FORGIVES YOU
Your streak counts turning up, not winning. Play today's chain and the streak holds, whether the chain falls or not. Every seven days you bank a rest day, and if life gets in the way, it quietly covers a missed day for you.
WHEN A LETTER BEATS YOU
Lose a letter and the game tells you what would have worked. Most rounds end with "oh, of course" rather than a shrug.
PLAY AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE
Beyond the daily, take any category at any difficulty, as often as you want.
• Relaxed — 30 seconds a letter, repeats allowed, three strikes.
• Standard — 20 seconds, no repeats, two strikes.
• Expert — 12 seconds, longer words, one strike.
NEARBY DUELS
Challenge someone in the same room over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. No account, no internet. Both players race the same word at the same moment and the higher score takes the round.
TEN CATEGORIES FREE
Vegetables, fruits, animals, countries, sports, world cities, professions, clothing, and two biblical sets — over 1,100 words, free forever. Thirty more packs span science, nature, food, geography, arts, history and the human body, for more than 3,000 words in all.
