Stop cleaning the same folders by hand. Sortify watches chosen folders, previews every move, and organizes files with rules you control. Sortify is an automatic folder organizer for macOS that keeps your folders clean and organized without constant manual work. Choose a folder, create a few simple rules, and let Sortify automatically sort, archive, compress, and organize files in the background. Preview changes before they happen, schedule automation with Calendar, and stay in complete control of your files. WHY SORTIFY • Local-first. Nothing leaves your Mac. No accounts, no cloud sync, no analytics. • Automatic organization. Keep Downloads, Desktop, iCloud Drive folders, and other locations organized automatically. • Preview before changes. Manual runs always show exactly what will happen before a single file is moved. • Calendar scheduling. Run organization rules automatically every week, every month, every 15 days, or on your own custom schedule. • Built for control. Every action is transparent, reviewable, and designed to work the macOS way. WORKFLOW 1. Watch a folder. Add Downloads, Desktop, iCloud Drive folders, external drives, or any folder using secure macOS permissions. Sortify only works with locations you explicitly choose. 2. Create rules. Match files by type, name, size, age, extension, or custom conditions. Move files, compress them into ZIP archives, or send them to Trash. 3. Run manually or automatically. Preview and organize files on demand, or enable Auto-Organize so new files are processed automatically as they arrive. 4. Schedule with Calendar. Create recurring automation schedules and manage them from a built-in Calendar view. CALENDAR Sortify includes a macOS-style Calendar designed specifically for file automation. • View previous organization runs and upcoming scheduled actions in a single timeline. • Filled indicators show completed actions, while future schedules appear as planned events. • Select any day to review completed or upcoming tasks, filterable by rule. • Quickly switch focus folders directly from the Calendar view. FEATURES • Smart rule builder with conditions, schedules, and scopes • Live folder monitoring with automatic organization • Works with Downloads, Desktop, external drives, and iCloud Drive folders • Built-in ZIP compression and Trash actions • Calendar-based scheduling and history tracking • Recent arrivals view for newly added files • Pinned folders, color tags, and custom folder colors • Storage retention policies (Forever, 1 Year, 30/60/90 Days) • Menu bar dashboard with quick actions • Full keyboard shortcut support • Light and Dark appearance modes • 13 supported languages • Reduce Motion accessibility support • 7-day undo history for organization batches HELP & SHORTCUTS Sortify includes a built-in User Guide, keyboard shortcuts reference, and onboarding tips to help you get started quickly. PRIVACY Sortify uses macOS security-scoped bookmarks. Approved folders are the only locations the app can reopen, and you can revoke access at any time. File information is read only when required to evaluate your rules. Sortify never uploads, shares, or transmits your files. REQUIREMENTS macOS 14 Sonoma or later Apple Silicon and Intel Macs supported
