Splice PDF: Split & Merge PDFs
Cut, Combine & Rotate Pages
Only for Mac
$2.99
Mac
Cut a PDF into the pieces you need, combine several into one, or pull out just the pages you want. All on your Mac, with no account, no uploads, and no subscription.
"That was literally the easiest thing I've ever done." — a real estate agent who uses Splice PDF
Splice PDF does two things: it cuts one PDF into smaller ones, and it joins several PDFs into one. You see every page, you click where you want the cut, you save.
SPLIT
Drop in a PDF and every page shows up as a thumbnail. Click between two pages to put a cut there, add as many cuts as you like, and each section becomes its own file. Name the sections before you save, or keep the automatic names. Rotate pages, delete the blank ones, drag them into a different order, and undo any of it with Cmd-Z. Don't need a section? Discard it and the rest renumber themselves. One click saves every piece to a folder you choose.
COMBINE
Drop in a stack of PDFs. They line up in a sensible order, you drag them around if you want a different one, type a name, and click Combine. Page counts and first-page previews sit right in the list, so you can see what you're merging before you do it.
LOCKED PDFS
If a PDF asks for a password and you know it, type it once when the file opens. From there Splice PDF treats it like any other file, and the PDFs it saves open without a password.
THE PDFS OTHER APPS WON'T TOUCH
Some scanned and exported PDFs refuse to open or save in other apps. Splice PDF uses qpdf, a widely used open-source engine that is unusually forgiving of odd or damaged files, so PDFs that fail elsewhere usually go through here without a fuss.
YOUR FILES STAY ON YOUR MAC
There is no account, no upload, and no internet connection. The app collects nothing, and the only files it can see are the ones you hand it.
A PROPER MAC APP
Open several windows and work on two PDFs side by side. Right-click a PDF in Finder and choose Open With > Splice PDF. Everything works from the keyboard and with VoiceOver. It's a one-time purchase, with no subscription, no watermarks, and no page limits.
Made for the day the scanner hands you one giant PDF and the website wants three small ones.
