DropBeam: Wi-Fi Photo Transfer
Files from any phone, no cable

Google retired its phone-to-computer transfer tool. DropBeam replaces it: scan a QR, photos and files land in your folder. No cable, no cloud, no app on the phone.
Transfer photos, videos, and files from your Android phone (or any phone) to your computer over Wi-Fi. No cable, no cloud, no account, and nothing to install on the phone. Your first 50 files are free, with every feature included and no size caps.
Google has discontinued its official tool for moving files from a phone to a computer, and the options that remain are capped, slow, or quietly recompress your videos. DropBeam fills that gap with something simpler.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Click Start Receiving. DropBeam shows a QR code.
2. Scan it with the phone's camera. A page opens in the phone's browser.
3. Pick your files. They land straight in the folder you chose.
That is the whole flow. It works from Android and iPhone alike, and from any device with a browser on your network.
EVERYTHING INCLUDED FROM THE FIRST FILE
- Any file type, no size limit. Send a 4 GB video without it being shrunk or split.
- Nothing to install on the phone. The browser it already has is enough.
- Rename on save: name files by the date the photo was taken, or the date received, plus your own label.
- Convert HEIC photos to universal JPEG as they arrive, with dates, orientation, and other metadata preserved.
- Skip duplicates: files you already have are recognized and not saved twice.
- Remove location: strip GPS data from photos as they are saved.
- True file dates: each saved file gets the day the photo was taken.
- Send files from the computer back to the phone.
- Menu bar mode, text and link beaming to your clipboard, access code security so only your devices can connect.
FREE FOR 50 FILES, THEN PRO
Your first 50 files are free, with nothing held back, so you can see exactly what DropBeam does with your own photos. DropBeam Pro is a one-time purchase that removes the limit: unlimited receiving and sending, forever. No subscription.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Files travel directly between your devices over your own Wi-Fi. DropBeam has no servers and no accounts, and it collects no data. When a transfer finishes, your files exist in exactly two places: the phone and your computer.
