Set up Chusko on your Apple TV once. It waits with a six-character code and a QR code on screen. Enter it on your phone, pick a video or slides, press play.
Install Chusko on your Apple TV and it becomes the screen. The phone holds the file and the controls. The TV just plays.
Open Chusko on your iPhone or iPad, pick a video, PDF, or deck, then scan the QR code shown on the TV or type its six-character code. Playback starts right away, and play, pause, seek, volume, and skip stay on your phone.
Your media streams straight from the phone to the TV. It never passes through our servers. A small connection handshake goes through our relay so the devices can find each other, and that is all we ever see.
Chusko sends your files. It does not mirror your screen.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open the Apple TV app. It starts a screen room on its own and shows a big code and a QR code.
2. On your phone, open Chusko and pick the projector role. Type the six-character code shown on the TV. Pointing your camera at the QR code works too: it opens chusko.byanr.com with the room already entered.
3. Choose a video, PDF, or slide deck and press play. The TV displays it while the phone stays in control.
4. Hosting a room on your phone instead? Rooms hosted on the same network appear on the TV automatically. Joining takes one tap. Typing a code works too.
5. A laptop browser can drive the TV as well: open chusko.byanr.com, pick a file, enter the code.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your media goes only to the TV in front of you. There is no cloud copy, nothing is stored outside your own hardware, and you do not need an account.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Both devices need internet access for the pairing handshake. After that, the media moves straight between them.
- Same Wi-Fi gives the fastest transfers and lets the TV discover nearby rooms on its own.
- The TV plays any format it handles natively, including long movies and MP4s whose index sits at the end of the file.
- PDFs and slides arrive as rendered page images, so the TV needs no office app. Slides are static; animations are not reproduced.
- Requires tvOS 18 or later. The phone side runs on iOS 18 or later.
