Baby Bath Thermometer
Instant water temp on wrist
$2.99 · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Dip your Apple Watch in the bath and see instantly whether the water is safe for your baby. Green means just right. Requires Ultra or Series 10 and later.
Is the bath water safe for your baby? Dip your Apple Watch in and know in one second.
Bath Temp uses the water temperature sensor built into Apple Watch Ultra and Series 10 to measure your bath water, then fills the whole screen with a single colour you can read at a glance — even across the room, even with wet hands.
REQUIRES A WATCH WITH THE WATER TEMPERATURE SENSOR
This app can only measure on Apple Watch Ultra (any generation) or Apple Watch Series 10 and later. These are the only Apple Watch models with a water temperature sensor. On any other Apple Watch the app will tell you the sensor isn't available and will not be able to take a reading. Please check your watch model before buying.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open Bath Temp on your Apple Watch and tap Start Measuring.
2. The watch turns on Water Lock, so the screen stays awake and water can't switch it off.
3. Put your watch in the water and hold still while the reading settles.
4. Read the colour. Turn the Digital Crown when you're done.
BLUE, GREEN, RED
• Blue — too cold, below 36 °C / 96.8 °F
• Green — just right, 36–38 °C / 96.8–100.4 °F
• Red — too hot, above 38 °C / 100.4 °F
Thresholds follow NHS and American Academy of Pediatrics guidance for infant bathing, which put the ideal bath at around 37 °C (98.6 °F) and advise never exceeding 38 °C (100.4 °F).
BUILT FOR ONE-HANDED, WET-HANDED USE
• Whole-screen colour, readable at arm's length
• Water Lock keeps the display on while the watch is wet
• Celsius or Fahrenheit, defaulting to your region
• A gentle tap when the water reaches the right range
• Shows the sensor's own accuracy figure while the reading settles, so you know when to trust it
• Reads only while the watch is actually in the water — no stale numbers
ON YOUR IPHONE
The iPhone app explains what each colour means, where the thresholds come from, which watches have the sensor, and how to take a good reading. You can preview exactly what the watch will show before you fill the bath.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account. No ads. No subscriptions. No analytics. No network access at all. Your readings never leave your watch.
SAFETY
Bath Temp is an aid, not a medical device, and is not a substitute for your own judgement. Always test the water with your wrist or elbow before bathing your baby. Never leave a baby unattended in water, even for a moment, and even at the right temperature. If you have any concern about your baby's health, speak to your paediatrician or health visitor.
