Inputs hidden in your receiver’s setup now stay out of Sotto’s input choices when the receiver supplies its visibility settings. HEOS receiver discovery and group diagnostics now handle more response formats reliably. The Marantz CINEMA 70s profile also recognises HEOS support confirmed by owner diagnostics. Four more receiver profiles built from owner diagnostics: Denon AVR-2313 and AVC-A110, and Marantz CINEMA 30 and CINEMA 70s. Sotto uses their model-specific zones and capabilities instead of generic defaults. Diagnostic reports now include privacy-safe information about renamed and hidden inputs, HEOS speaker groups and the current audio signal. This helps us investigate receiver-specific problems. Switch receivers from the main screen: tap your receiver’s name to switch or add another one. Sotto now replaces old model capabilities when you point a saved receiver at a different model, instead of keeping the previous receiver’s inputs and zones. Two more receiver profiles built from real diagnostics: Marantz SR7015 and Denon AVR-E400. The AVR-E400’s Dolby Pro Logic II Movie mode also has a clearer name. Watch each question Sotto asks while preparing diagnostics, including snapshots attached to feedback. CEOL and M-CR network CD receivers remain experimental. Power and source control vary by model, and volume ranges and the AV-style dB display are not yet verified for every unit.

Press and hold the power button to turn every zone on or off at once. When the receiver is off, press and hold Wake receiver to wake every zone. A normal tap still switches only the main zone. If you renamed an input on the receiver itself, the main screen now keeps your name. Some receivers made it show the factory name instead. Network CD receivers such as the Denon RCD-N9 now switch on and off from Sotto, and the volume slider follows their own 0 to 60 scale. Before, halfway up the slider was already close to full volume.

Three more receivers are now Verified profiles: the Marantz CINEMA 50, the Denon AVR-X4400H and the Denon AVR-S750H. Their zones, volume ceiling and room correction now come from those receivers rather than from a sensible guess. In homes with more than one receiver, the firmware version in Settings could come from a different receiver than the one you were controlling. It now comes from the right one.

This update puts your scenes on the Home Screen, gives the sleep timer a countdown you can watch, and adds proper support for three more receivers. • Your scenes now fit on a Home Screen widget as a grid, so a whole evening setup is one tap away without opening the app. There is a second new widget for a single routine, in two sizes. • The sleep timer now counts down on the Lock Screen and keeps going with Sotto closed. Starting or cancelling it works by voice too. • Siri can now set the volume to an exact number and switch to an input by name, rather than only nudging up and down. • Volume is steadier in two places owners ran into: unmuting no longer lands on a stale level, and changing your receiver's maximum no longer drags the current volume along with it. • Sotto now handles the Denon AVR-X6500H, the Denon DRA-800H and the Denon AVR-A1H properly instead of falling back to generic defaults. The DRA-800H is the first stereo receiver Sotto has been taught about, so it no longer offers surround controls to a receiver that has none. • Receivers with very short model names, the AVR-A1H and AVC-A1H among them, were being quietly distrusted by an internal check and could never be tuned at all. That is fixed, and the AVR-A1H is tuned in this release as a result. • Release notes have a "Don't show this again" button, and Settings turns them back on. If someone was listening in Zone 2 or Zone 3, powering off from Sotto used to cut them off without warning. Sotto now switches off the main zone only, and it behaves that way everywhere: in the app, in widgets, in Control Center, through Siri, and inside scenes. • The Sound screen no longer shows an empty list. On receivers that answer Sotto's request but return nothing at all, it now falls back to the receiver's own sound-mode presets instead of drawing a picker with no rows in it. • The receiver's own sound-mode list now appears on more models. Sotto used to decide from its own records whether your receiver offered that list, and on some models the record was a guess that hid a list which actually worked. Sotto now asks your receiver directly. • Sotto recognises two more receivers properly instead of falling back to generic defaults: the Denon AVR-X1600H and AVR-X1000. An unexpected reply from another device on your network could crash Sotto roughly once a second the whole time it was connected. If Sotto has been quitting on you, this is why. • On receivers that report through Denon's Web Control, volume levels below 10 were read wrongly (4.5 could show as 45), and the next volume tap then sent the receiver to the wrong level. Both are fixed. • Volume Up and Down in the widget, in Control Center and via Siri no longer step from a stale reading. If you had changed the volume with the receiver's own remote, a single tap could jump the room to a very different level. When Sotto cannot establish the current level, it now says so instead of guessing. • The Sound screen no longer dead-ends on receivers that do not offer Denon's Web Control. It falls back to the receiver's own sound-mode presets instead of showing an error. • Sound modes now show their proper names, for example "Dolby Pro Logic II Movie" instead of the receiver's internal shorthand, and the matching category is highlighted correctly. • Sotto now recognises three more receivers properly instead of falling back to generic defaults: the Denon AVC-X3700H, AVC-S660H and AVR-X4800H. That takes it from two tuned models to five, and Zone 3 is handled correctly on receivers that have it. • Fixed several cases where a control could stay stuck showing what you asked for rather than what the receiver actually did, after a command the receiver never confirmed. • Fixed a tip bought through Ask to Buy not being recorded once it was approved. Thank you for trying Sotto. This update is mostly about scenes behaving exactly as promised. • Scenes now set the volume correctly on every receiver. If your receiver reports its own maximum volume, a scene could ask for a level it would never accept, and the app would report that the receiver "didn't confirm" even though the scene had worked. Scene volume is now matched to what your receiver actually allows, including scenes you saved before this update. • Fixed a bug where closing the Sound or Options screen while it was still loading could drop the connection to your receiver, leaving the controls unresponsive until you reconnected. • Scenes and sound favorites in Siri, Shortcuts and Control Center now only ever apply to the receiver they were made for. With more than one receiver set up, the wrong one could be targeted. • Turning the main zone off at the receiver's front panel is now reflected in the app instead of leaving it looking powered on. • Added a tip jar for anyone who would like to support development.
