Park and ParkWijs checks the spot. Looks paid? Your phone rings. It knows if your resident permit counts, and works with any parking app. No account. First month free. In Dutch towns some streets are paid and some are free, and the sign is easy to walk past. Park your car and ParkWijs looks up the spot, tells you what it finds, and sounds an alarm on your phone if it looks like a paid zone. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT • An alarm that keeps ringing until you stop it, through silent mode and Focus. That is on iOS 26.1 and later with Alarms allowed. On older iOS, or with Alarms not allowed, it is a notification that repeats at 5 and 10 minutes. • Does your permit count here? If you hold a resident permit, ParkWijs checks whether the spot is inside your own permit area, and whether your permit counts there right now. • A second alarm when paid hours start after you park: park at 08:50 in a zone paid from 09:00 and it rings at 09:00. • Works with any parking app, and needs no account. You start and stop your session in the parking app you already use. ParkWijs just helps you remember to. WHAT IT DOES • Looks up the spot you parked in and shows what the Dutch national parking register says: paid, free, or inside your own permit area. • Shows the zone and what it costs, and copies the zone code so it is ready to paste into your parking app. Pick your app in Settings: EasyPark, Yellowbrick, Flitsmeister, Q-Park or ANWB Onderweg. • Check this spot: ask whether you have to pay where you are now, without parking first. Or ask Siri: "Do I have to pay here with ParkWijs". • Shows why: the zone, the week's paid hours and the pay meters nearby, with walking directions. • Sends one reminder that your session may still be running after you drive away. • Shows a map of paid areas shaded by price, paler is cheaper and deeper is pricier, with parking garages and pay meters as pins you can tap. • Says how well each city's data has been checked, and lets you report a verdict that looks wrong from the spot, in an email you read before you send it. • Knows up to three cars. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO • It does not pay for your parking, and it does not start or stop sessions. That stays in your own parking app. • It does not replace the sign at the kerb. The sign and the machine are what you are held to. • It does not catch every park. Detection depends on your phone's permissions, its battery, and what iOS allows in the background. • It does not know every street. The register is more detailed in some municipalities than others, and can be out of date. • It does not collect anything that identifies you. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • No account. No sign-up. Nothing to set up but your car. • Your location is used on your iPhone and never uploaded. • No ads, no tracking. Only anonymous usage counts, and you can switch them off. WHAT IT COSTS ParkWijs is a subscription. The first month is free, then €1,99 a month. It renews by itself until you cancel, and you can cancel any time in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, at least a day before it renews. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. There is no account to make and no ads. GOOD TO KNOW ParkWijs is a helper, not an authority. Parking rules come from the Dutch national parking register, which can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Alerts depend on iOS and on your own settings, so one can arrive late or not at all. Please don't make ParkWijs your only reminder. Always read the sign at the kerb, and remember that paying for your parking, and stopping your own session, is yours to do. ParkWijs is provided as-is, and we cannot accept liability for fines, fees or anything else arising from its use. Your statutory rights as a consumer are unaffected. Made for iPhone Duo, checked parking rules ready before you park, and anonymous usage counts you can switch off. • iPhone Duo. ParkWijs fills both the outer and the inner display, upright and on its side. On any iPhone you can now turn the app on its side too. • Checked parking rules. ParkWijs now downloads parking rules from our own data server, a copy of the national register that we check every day before it reaches you, and only when they change. If our server can't be reached, ParkWijs uses the register directly, as before. • Parking rules ready in advance. ParkWijs now downloads the parking rules for every municipality within 50 km of you. The nearest 30 km on any connection, the rest only on Wi-Fi. • Anonymous usage counts. ParkWijs counts steps like "setup finished" or "a park was detected", with a random ID that is not linked to you. Never your location, your zone or your car. You can switch it off in Settings. First month free, then €1,99 a month. Cancel any time in Settings. No account, no ads.
