This update adds two new skins: Rezonance and Rezolution. They estimate the genre from what the mic hears, and when Shazam identifies the song, they use that too to shape the show. The changes are subtle, so at first glance you may not notice what's changing or how. That's the point. But no two shows are ever the same. Just put on some music and enjoy the scenery quietly shifting around you. Rezonance came together pretty smoothly. It's pure, deep chill. Perfect for the long drive home. Rezolution, on the other hand, fought me every step of the way. It's the main reason this update is late. So I went all in on the drama. Don't fly too fast! Each skin has genres it clearly loves. Of course, play whatever you like. Try different tracks and find your favorite match. Both come together in the Motion Pack. Pricey? Think of it as buying me a beer. These skins trade a bit of everyday coziness for spectacle. Honestly, older devices may struggle. Even my test phone (iPhone 17) gets seriously hot after a few minutes. I've refactored to hold 30fps, and I'll keep shipping updates to make them lighter. CarPlay support is the request I hear most, from all over the world. Really. I'd love to add it, but CarPlay apps face strict review and feature limits, so it's a long road. Thanks for your patience. You can now switch the clock to 12-hour time with AM/PM. Another feature you asked for. If a request isn't technically hard, it usually ships fast. Keep them coming!

Thanks for waiting—the update is here! And this time, it adds… absolutely no new features! Instead, we gave the spectrum analyzer and all six skins a thorough tune-up behind the scenes. Long-running display is now more stable, portrait and landscape rendering more consistent, and everything a little smoother. Same Retro Spectrum on the outside. A harder-working machine underneath.

Landscape was the dream—and we still love it. Then, while driving, we realized something: phone holders spend a lot of time in portrait. So all six skins now support portrait mode, each with a layout designed around its own character. Existing skins get the update at no extra charge. Yes. Free… Landscape remains just as you know it, while small layout issues throughout the app have been polished for a cleaner, more beautiful display.

You can now turn your current skin and song information into a Share Card and share it directly to Instagram Stories. AirDrop, X, and more are available under More. You can also view or clear your latest Shazam match. This update improves screen rotation while sharing and when returning to the app.

This update adds CarPlay support and improves stability. • CarPlay: when your phone is connected to CarPlay, Retro Spectrum now switches to a display mode that doesn't open the microphone—so your music keeps playing through the car at full quality. • Bluetooth: fixed a freeze that could happen when connecting to a car's Bluetooth, and your music no longer drops to phone-call quality while the analyzer runs over Bluetooth. • Wireframe LCD skin: a deeper, swirling tunnel with a stronger sense of depth.
