Movies, series and live channels live side by side. Browse by genre, see what's trending, pin your favourite categories to the Start screen, or search and find something in seconds.
A guide that just works
A full programme guide with artwork and descriptions, fast to scroll and easy to read on a big screen. Live TV comes with list and grid views, catch-up support and reminders that let you know when a programme starts.
Multiscreen
Watch up to four live channels at the same time in a 2x2 grid, switch audio between them and open any of them full screen with one press.
AirPlay and Chromecast
Send live TV, films and series to your TV with AirPlay or Chromecast, subtitles included. Choose which device plays and keep browsing on your phone.
Make it yours
Rename and reorder channels and categories, hide the rows you don't use, set which sections appear on Start, pick your own EPG sources, choose your metadata language, adjust the text size and set up parental locks. Nearly everything in NowSeen can be changed to how you like it.
Subtitles the way you want them
Choose your language, pick your exact text size, and switch tracks without leaving the picture. Closed captions are supported, and if a film or episode has no subtitles you can fetch them from OpenSubtitles right from the player.

Your playlists, favourites and settings follow you across your devices with iCloud. Optional Trakt and Simkl integration keeps your watch history and progress up to date, automatically and in the background.

HOTFIX
Fixed continue watching items not updating & working correctly.
1.4.1 22h ago
* Fixed subtitle and audio menus on iPad, plus top bar buttons on iPad and Mac that sometimes did not respond to taps.
* Updated AetherEngine to the latest version.
* Favourites can now sync between NowSeen and Emby/Jellyfin in both directions. Choose per media server whether to import favourites, export NowSeen favourites, do both, or disable syncing. Changes are synced automatically, and duplicate favourites are prevented.
* Emby and Jellyfin playlists now appear as folders alongside your libraries under Films and Series. Mixed playlists appear in both, and episodes are grouped under their series.
* Continue Watching now syncs both ways with Emby and Jellyfin. Playback position, watched episodes and the correct next episode are kept in sync, with the most recent progress taking priority. Finishing a title on the server also removes it from Continue Watching in NowSeen.
* Each profile can now choose whether to import/export favourites and sync watch progress with a media server. Playlist visibility can also be configured per profile and follows you across devices.
* Movies and series appearing in multiple playlists are now treated as a single title. Episodes, watch progress and Continue Watching are shared across playlists, while you can still choose which account to stream from.
* When using TMDB metadata, server posters no longer briefly appear before the TMDB poster loads. Titles without a TMDB match still use the server poster.
* Logos with coloured backgrounds are now preserved correctly. Only neutral white, grey or black backing plates are removed. Existing logos are automatically reprocessed.
* Renamed "Infuse (extern)" to "Infuse (external app)" and translated the label in all supported languages.
* The Home hero can now be browsed manually with left and right on the remote, with chevrons showing the available direction.
* Closing the stream info panel now returns focus to the player controls. The live player also uses the official Picture in Picture icon, and PiP can now be disabled in player settings.
* Every playlist now has its own automatic refresh schedule and manual refresh button. Account details have also moved to a separate page under Settings and Connections.
* Recently Watched and Recently Added folders can now be hidden, renamed and moved. Channels can also use a custom logo by entering a web address, with an option to reset the logo to the playlist default.
* Fixed an Apple TV issue where quickly swiping in the TV guide could move the selection back to its starting position.
* Fixed watched status syncing with Continue Watching, Trakt and Simkl. Opening watch status settings no longer returns to Home.
* Re-enabling a playlist now immediately restores its last known folders, channels and titles without requiring a manual refresh. The same applies to content hidden or shown per profile.
* Fixed loading of M3U playlists larger than 64 MB. Gzipped and UTF-16 playlists are now supported, as are playlists without the #EXTM3U header.
* The top item in the Movies and Series sidebar is now called "Overview" instead of "All".
1.4 1d ago
* Fixed app crashing when reloading content.
* Fixed app not showing all available content.
* Updated AetherEngine to the latest version.
* New metadata source option "TMDB ID only" that uses TMDB whenever your provider supplies a TMDB or IMDb ID and keeps the provider's own data for everything else, so titles with an ID now get their trailer, cast and ratings without any risk of a wrong match.
* Title logos now also appear when they only exist in the original language of a movie or series, instead of staying empty whenever your metadata language differs.
* Episode titles now come from TMDB whenever a TMDB ID is available, so releases named like a download no longer show up as episode titles.
* The TV guide now shows up to 5 days of programming instead of just one, depending on how far your provider's guide reaches.
* Rewinding a movie or episode without the player controls on screen now works, and opening the controls puts the focus straight on the progress bar.
* The live player now keeps its info current while you watch, updating the programme title and description as soon as one programme ends and refreshing the sound badge when a stream switches between stereo and 5.1.
* Rotten Tomatoes scores now also appear on TV shows, not just movies.
* Fixed picture-in-picture on iOS where starting a second stream while a channel was minimised left the new player black.
* Upcoming episodes now appear on iPhone and iPad too.
* Subtitles now always start on an embedded track in your preferred language, with OpenSubtitles reserved for when you pick it yourself.
* Trending rows now match your library more reliably, titles that are not in your library open straight into the source picker when you have a media server connected, and a new setting under Appearance hides trending titles that are not in your library (standard set to on).
* Titles from hidden folders no longer show up in the source selection screen.
* On iPhone the TV guide can now be used in landscape, and program titles stay visible while you scroll sideways through the schedule.
* Fixed the Live TV overlay freezing and the app exiting when you press play/pause while the recently watched channel list is open.
* Playback and browsing fixes: pressing up from the progress bar now reaches the player buttons without the overlay shifting around, the source picker shows each source the moment it is found instead of waiting for the slowest server, and a player is now properly stopped when you leave it.
* Optimized performance and small issues.
* Smoother scrolling and faster page loads throughout Movies and Series.
* Multiscreen now registers the window that has the audio as the playing source, so volume control (including AirPlay speakers) works again while watching two streams.
* Added reminders for account expires.
* In the live TV player overlay a long channel name now stays on one line and truncates with an ellipsis instead of wrapping to a second row.
* Sports now shows a live match under its own Live heading on the team page, with the score and channels to watch it on, instead of listing it as a finished result.
1.3.3 3d ago
* Added a brand new NowSeen logo!
* Reworked the live channel list overlay.
* TV Guide is now a real tab on iPad, so selecting it as a position or icon shows it in the top bar and opens Live TV straight in guide view.
* Fixed the missing back button on iPad in the Arrange top bar and Metadata language settings pages, which left you stuck on those screens.
* Live TV now keeps playing in a floating window when you tap the new down arrow instead of the close button, and the picture in picture window no longer freezes or closes on its own after you leave the app.
* Settings on Apple TV now always returns to the main settings screen, starting at the top, whenever you leave and come back to the tab.
* Subtitle settings such as colour, size and position are now applied to embedded subtitle tracks as well, which previously always showed up white at the bottom.
* Fixed the app being killed while refreshing large multi playlist libraries by writing each playlist straight to storage and skipping playlists that are switched off.
* iOS: You can now add or remove a channel from your favorites straight from the content editor, and favorite channels are marked with a star behind their name.
* Reworked the Content Editor for iPhone/iPad. Easier to manage your content.
* Fixed managing EPG sources on iPhone and iPad, where tapping a source did nothing, the screen could close by itself or appear misaligned, and a typed URL could disappear while entering the name.
* Player menus now keep focus inside the list instead of slipping to the controls behind them, wrap around at the top and bottom, and return you to the button you opened them from when they close.
* Fixed the odd looking icon next to the custom User-Agent field on tvOS so it now matches the one used on iPhone and iPad.
* Fixed the multiview channel picker opening on an empty category such as Favorites, which left you stuck in guide view with no way back to the category menu.
* Sports matches are now found in your guide when team names contain accented letters or appear in a possessive form, and pre match programmes starting up to an hour before kick off are recognised too.
* The order of playlists in the sidebar now follows the order you set in Settings > Connections on Apple TV as well, and a change made on another device is applied through iCloud.
* In Multiscreen you can briefly pause a window with the play/pause button and start it again, so you can line up two feeds of the same event exactly.
* Each playlist now shows its provider account details (status, expiry date, connections and formats) plus how many channels, movies and series it adds to your library.
* Movies and series you have finished now show a checkmark on their poster and a "Watch again" button, and a movie you mark as watched disappears from Continue watching right away.
* Fixed a display issue in Settings where a long value, such as a full User-Agent string, could overlap the row's title instead of being cut off neatly at the right edge.
* Edit content now has a "Show only visible" button that hides everything you already hid, so you can reorder just the folders and channels that actually appear in the app.
* The selector in the player controls now glides smoothly from button to button instead of being rebuilt on every step, in both live TV and movies and series.
* New option under Settings, Player settings called "Force HDR over Dolby Vision (when available)", which asks your TV for its regular HDR mode on Dolby Vision titles that have a standard HDR base layer, often giving a brighter picture.
* Fixed the player resolution badge, which showed widescreen 4K releases such as 3840x1920 as 1440p.
* Emby and Jellyfin titles that are stored in more than one library now show every version in the source picker, with the highest quality listed first.
1.3.2 6d ago
* Fixed an issue where Top Shelf rows such as Live TV favourites could stay empty until the Home tab had been opened first.
* Fixed an Apple TV freeze when pressing play/pause with the Recently Watched panel open. Playback and closing the panel now work as expected.
* Fixed category focus jumping back to the first poster after adding or removing a favourite. Focus now stays on the selected movie or series.
* Trending Series and Trending Movies can now be shown on the Apple TV Top Shelf, with ranking numbers on the posters. Top Shelf settings now have their own page and support custom row ordering.
* Search now lets you filter TMDB genres by Movies, Series or Everything. On Apple TV, press left on the first poster column to open the genre filter sidebar. Each genre still shows around 120 titles.
* Fixed TV guide refreshes getting stuck at 25% and overloading provider servers. Large downloads now have more time, retry once, and no longer fall back to channel-by-channel downloads.
* Hidden folders now stay hidden everywhere, including Recently Added, Continue Watching and Trending.
* Fixed selector flickering in Settings and Sports, where the white selector could briefly double in size.
* Multiscreen (tvOS): in the featured layout, focus no longer changes which window is large. Use the arrow keys to reach every window, press OK on a small window to make it large, or OK on the large window to open it in the full player. The swap button still works as before.
* Jellyfin and Emby now provide sources for anything you open, including series not yet in your library. Results also appear as soon as each server responds.
* Fixed row titles being cut off on Movies and Series pages at Large and Extra Large text sizes.
* Sports now matches Formula 1 and other non-team events to the correct channel in your TV guide, including later sessions.
* Sports leagues are now sorted alphabetically by country and league, using your app language.
* Sports search now supports countries, competitions and teams on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad.
* tvOS: while watching Live TV, hold OK on a channel to open it in Multiscreen or add it to favourites.
* Settings ▸ Storage now shows cache usage and its contents, with library and downloads listed separately.
* Reworked the Stream Info list on tvOS.
* Times across the app now follow your device's 12/24-hour setting by default, with a manual override in Settings.
* The Multiscreen channel picker now uses the same sidebar as Live TV, including favourites, recently watched, recently added, playlists and folders.
* The TV guide is now available on iPhone. iPhone and iPad also get a single dropdown to switch between list, grid and guide views.
* Added an Incognito profile that starts completely empty and remembers nothing you watch, search for or favourite, available on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad.
* Sports now supports tournament schedules for sports without teams, including golf, tennis and motorsport. More leagues are supported, competitions can be followed like teams, and large league lists load much faster.
* A single-channel TV guide can now be opened from search results on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad, and from the More menu in the iPhone and iPad player.
1.3.1 Aug 23
BIG UPDATE!
Sports is here!
-We've added a dedicated Sports page that brings everything together in one place. Add your favourite teams, see exactly when they're playing, and jump straight into the action.
NowSeen scans your provider's EPG to automatically show you when and where to watch your teams. Live scores are included too, with an optional delay so you can stay completely spoiler-free.
-iPad: the top bar can now be arranged to your liking, just like on Apple TV, via the new "Arrange top bar" page under Appearance, and the layout syncs via iCloud between your devices.
-Opening the TV guide from Live TV is quicker now. On Apple TV, press right on a channel or select the category title to open the guide, and Back returns you to your list or grid on the channel you were viewing. On iPad, swipe over the channels or tap the category title to open the guide, and use the arrow in the guide header to go back.
-Fixed an issue on Apple TV where pressing Back while a live channel was still loading could send you to the Home screen instead of back to the channel list.
-The search screen now hides the keyboard as soon as you move into the discover grid, so browsing through the tiles no longer shifts the rows around and the top row always sits neatly below the menu bar. Moving back up from the first row brings the keyboard straight back.
-Episodes and movies are now marked as watched a little earlier, so shows with long end credits no longer stay stuck in Continue Watching. An item counts as watched once you have seen 88 percent of it, or once less than two and a half minutes remain, whichever comes first. This applies on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad, and Trakt and Simkl follow the same point.
-Fixed the sidebar in Movies and Series showing an empty heading for a second playlist when that playlist had live TV switched off. The heading now shows the playlist name again.
-Fixed a duplicate playlist heading in the Live TV sidebar that showed only Recently Watched and Recently Added under a second copy of your first playlist's name.
-Fixed an issue on iPhone where the last channel in a Live TV category ended up underneath the tab bar and could not be tapped. The channel list and grid now scroll all the way up to the tab bar, so every channel stays reachable.
-Episodes your provider already has are now always playable, even when TMDB lists a later air date. Previously such episodes were shown as "coming soon" and could not be played. "Coming soon" is now only used for episodes that really aren't available yet.
-Fixed an issue where rewatching an episode that was already marked as watched could resume at the wrong spot or jump to the next episode. Your latest progress now always wins over an older watched status from iCloud, and resetting progress can no longer be undone by an outdated sync.
-You can now remove a channel from Recently Watched directly in the TV guide by long-pressing a programme, just like in the list and grid view.
-When you reach the last channel in the guide, list or grid, or the last category in the sidebar, pressing down now takes you straight back to the top.
1.3 Aug 20
-Updated AetherEngine to 6.31.0. to fix Dolby Atmos & Airplay Audio on Live TV.
-Added 3 new themes; Gold, Neon & Black.
-Reworked the Dark & Red theme
-NowSeen now verifies a TMDB match on title and year before using it, so titles that do not exist on TMDB keep their provider artwork and details, and a new Metadata source setting under Appearance lets you switch off TMDB for your playlist entirely.
-You can now set a custom User-Agent per playlist, and playlists that carry their own User-Agent are picked up automatically.
-Detail pages now keep the artwork fixed and gently blur it as you scroll, the Start hero makes way for your theme background, and the shading behind a description follows the actual text instead of sitting in a fixed spot.
-The Chromecast button in the player now stays visible even when no devices are found, and tapping it opens the Cast picker with a message telling you to check your Wi-Fi network.
-Fixed resuming playback jumping ahead or straight to the end (starting the next episode) and corrected the remaining time shown for Emby and Jellyfin titles.
-Fixed series pages with upcoming episodes: the episode row no longer becomes unreachable, and moving down from any episode now lands on the trailer with visible focus.
-Fixed the app quitting on iPad and Apple TV during EPG refresh with very large channel lists, and made content refresh faster while keeping the app responsive while it saves.
-Search results on Apple TV now scroll neatly underneath the keyboard instead of showing through it.
-TV Guide search results now group repeat airings of the same programme per channel and show only a handful of rows, with a Show all option and a list of all airings behind each result.
-You can now set a reminder on upcoming episodes from the series page and get a notification on the day they air, synced across your Apple TV, iPhone and iPad.
-Series now show the number of seasons and whether they are ongoing or ended in the details line.
-Fixed the "Clean up categories" setting not updating already visible category names when toggled on or off, on both Apple TV and iPhone.
-On iPhone and iPad you can now choose a start page under Settings → Appearance, so the app can open directly on Start, Live TV, Series or Movies, just like on Apple TV.
-Improved German translations
1.2 Aug 19
-Updated AetherEngine to 6.26.0. Live IPTV no longer advertises HLS blocking-reload, which stopped the mid-stream rebuffers.
-Chromecast & Airplay support on iPhone and iPad for live TV, movies and series.
-Chromecast & Airplay remote control screen with subtitles from OpenSubtitles, language switching and timing adjustment.
-Improved subtitle menu in the player on iPhone and Apple TV: stays open while scrolling, groups OpenSubtitles results by language, shows download counts and finds more results.
-Added a new Nightblue theme.
-Default subtitles now follow language metadata (ISO codes), not the track title.
-The tvOS player overlay now shows the active player (KSPlayer or AetherEngine) as the first info badge next to the channel or title.
-Resolution badges now use broadcast labels (4K, 1080p/1080i, 720p) instead of Full HD / 4K UHD / HD.
-iOS search results now show the source playlist and category under live channels and TV guide rows, matching Apple TV.
-Added always show the movie/series title in the header on the source selector screen.
-iOS: Playlist group headers in Live TV and the Movies/Series category panel are now collapsible, matching Apple TV. Tap a playlist name to hide or show its folders. Favorites at the top stay visible.
-The player controls and stream badges now sit on iOS and tvOS system glass, with badge sizing tuned per platform and the iPhone control row scaling to the screen width.
-You can now manage multiple EPG sources per account, including the provider guide and your own XMLTV feeds, in priority order with per-source logo settings, on both Apple TV and iPhone/iPad.
-You can now manage multiple EPG sources per playlist directly in the web editor, in priority order with per-source logo settings.
-Fixed audio track selection so spoken subtitle (GOS) and audio description tracks are never chosen automatically over the regular track in the same language, while remaining selectable in the audio menu.
-The iPad top bar now adapts to the available width, so tab names stay readable in portrait and the Live TV view buttons stay fully on screen.
-Multiview on Apple TV now hides the bottom buttons and the window focus outline after about five seconds without input, so nothing stays burned into OLED screens. Press down on the remote to bring the buttons back, where the focus lands on the first button, and they fade out again on their own after five seconds of inactivity.
1.1.10 Aug 17
-Settings are now grouped (Media, Playback, Personalization) with clearer names: Connections, Watch status, Appearance.
-About now shows the app version.
-Touch the ok button to bring up the info.
-Recently Watched drawer: The source playlist name now sits on its own line above the channel title, instead of as a badge after it. Still hidden when only one playlist is present.
-Fixed unreadable Retry button on iOS on the stream-error screen (white text on a white button).
-Favorites now have their own sort setting (Default, A–Z, Z–A, Manual), independent of Live TV sorting.
-Fixed an issue where the rename keyboard in the content editor would close by itself and changes were not saved.
-Fixed flickering on the content editor page.
-Long-press an episode to mark it watched, mark everything up to here as watched, or mark it unwatched on all platforms.
-Episode artwork stays in the row and grows slightly while the menu is open (Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad)
-You can now skip the source picker and automatically play the first available source from Player settings.
-Radio from playlist is now also available on iOS.
-Fixed an issue on Apple TV where the Next Episode button took over the remote during the last few minutes of an episode, pressing Back now dismisses the button and brings up the player controls so you can rewind, fast forward and pause again.
-Fixed an issue where the app could run out of memory and quit partway through refreshing content or the TV guide, especially with multiple playlists or very large channel and movie libraries.
-Long-press on a movie or series poster (Home, Movies, Series, Search) now offers Play/Resume, Favorite, Mark watched, and Mark unwatched. On tvOS and iOS.
1.1.9 Aug 15
-Removed Manifest support.
-Live channels can now be moved to another category straight from the long press menu on Apple TV, iPhone and iPad, and in the web editor. Choose an existing folder or create a new one on the spot
-Added 46 more Memoji’s to Profiles.
-Every playlist header in Content editor now has its own eye, so you can hide or show a whole playlist at once instead of hiding everything and picking categories back one by one.
-The recently watched and shared favorites rows on the home screen, the recently watched list in the player and the search results now show which playlist a channel comes from, and long channel names scroll instead of being cut off.
-Improved search results on both tvOS & iOS.
-Removed virtual map ‘’All channels’’ cause of performance issues.
-The playlist name now stays visible above the channel categories and follows along as you move between playlists.
-Fixed the selection indicator in the Live TV category sidebar sometimes appearing as an empty capsule.
-Episodes now automatically play the next one when they finish, on both Apple TV and iPhone/iPad. You can turn this off in Settings under Player settings if you prefer the old behavior.
-Hold OK on a channel in the Recently Watched list (Overlay list on Live TV) to open it in Multiview, alongside the channel you were already watching. Multiview also has a new button that takes you back to the regular player on whichever window has the sound. For iOS the new button is also present.
-You can now remove a Live TV channel from Recently Watched (Home, Live TV folder, and the in-player drawer); focus stays on the next channel, and the Live TV list and drawer animate the row away.
-Fixed Mac app crashing when playing Streams.
1.1.8 Aug 13
