Taqweem - Your Ultimate Prayer Times Companion
Taqweem is a beautifully crafted Islamic app that helps you never miss a prayer with accurate, timely notifications and a stunning user experience designed for modern Muslims — now reborn in version 2 with a bold new look, a built-in Qibla compass, and full color personalization.
Accurate Prayer Times
Get precise prayer times calculated using your exact location. Simply allow location access once, and Taqweem automatically detects your city and fetches times from the reliable aladhan API. The five daily prayers—Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha—are displayed with their exact times.
Qibla Compass
Find the direction of the Kaaba anywhere in the world with the built-in compass that works in portrait or landscape. Point your device and let Taqweem guide you to Qibla with a seamless, on-theme design.
A Stunning Redesign (v2)
Taqweem v2 brings a fresh, modern interface with a premium glass tab bar and a serene shared background across every screen. From the home calendar to settings, favorites, and search — the whole app now feels like one beautifully crafted experience.
Colors, Your Way
Express your style with four themes: the timeless Classic, the elegant Dark mode, the luxurious Royal gold, and a Custom theme where you pick any single color and Taqweem instantly restyles every screen — buttons, icons, cards, and widgets — with a derived palette. Live preview means you see your theme before you commit.
Smart Notifications
Receive timely notifications before each prayer time you've enabled. Notifications appear on your lock screen with the prayer name and time. The notification inbox shows how long each alert has been waiting—"just now", "3 min ago", "2 hours 14 min ago", and more.
Dual Calendar Support
Display both Islamic Hijri and Gregorian dates on every page, with month names in all five supported languages. The app seamlessly handles conversions between calendars, making it easy to plan both your spiritual and worldly activities.
Date Search
Jump to any past or future date instantly. Search by selecting a date from the calendar picker or entering a Hijri date manually. The app handles date conversions correctly regardless of your device's system calendar settings.
Custom Prayer Settings
Choose which prayers trigger notifications. Enable or disable each of the five daily prayers individually to create your perfect notification experience.
Daily Wisdom
Stay inspired with daily wisdom reminders that arrive at a time you specify — set to any language and rendering beautifully in every theme. A thoughtful quote to begin or end your day on a positive note.
Smart Time Display
Choose between 12-hour (AM/PM) and 24-hour formats, or follow your device's system setting. Times display in your preferred format across all screens.
Notification Center
Access your complete notification history in the in-app inbox. Mark items as read, delete entries, or clear everything with a single tap.
Widget Support
Add prayer time widgets to your home screen for quick access to today's times, tomorrow's Fajr countdown, and sunrise/sunset times — all matching your chosen theme.
Watch Support
Sync your settings with your Apple Watch for prayer times on the go.
Designed with Care
Every detail has been thoughtfully implemented: Arabic text uses the beautiful Amiri font, RTL layout is perfectly supported for Arabic users, the app speaks five languages, and the interface responds smoothly to all interactions.
Trusted Reliability
Taqweem uses system-level scheduling for notifications, ensuring they arrive even when your phone is locked or the app isn't running. Daily prayer schedules persist across app launches and device reboots.
