Now on iPad The whole app, laid out for the tablet rather than stretched onto it. The rack is a grid of cards you page through, three across on a 13 inch. Menus arrive from the right and nothing underneath them moves. Open a module and it steps out of the rack into the middle of the room with its settings beside it, so you are looking at the thing you are changing. Landscape, for a stand and two hands. Your projects, on both Turn iCloud on and your work follows you. Start a track on the phone in the morning and open it on the tablet in the evening, with the presets, the samples and the covers already there. There is a Sequentia folder in Files, so a project is a file you can copy, send and keep like any other. Off until you switch it on. Export the whole thing at once One door for the whole project instead of one module at a time. Take the rack out as MIDI, or every scene as its own folder, named so the session opens in your DAW already making sense. If there are samples in the rack, one tick brings the audio along with it. Fixes A sample dropped into a rack that was already playing now starts on the beat instead of a sixteenth late. A modulation lane keeps the name of what it is aimed at when you close the project and open it again.

Bounce A new module. Balls travel a box, and every wall they touch plays a note in your key. It looks like chaos and runs on the grid, so it grooves. Set how many are flying and how fast, hold whole fields as pattern slots, save the ones you like as presets, follow your chords, and bounce any length of it to a .mid file. New sounds Twenty eight of them, and they land where a rack usually thins out: eight pads, six keys, six basses, four modular voices, a lead, a bowed string and two more acid patches. Every one is loudness matched to the rest, so a new sound changes the character and never the volume. The app now holds 174. Scenes set up your synths A scene can send a program change the moment it starts, so the right patch is already waiting for the first note. It can send CC as well, picked straight from your instrument's own control map, and CC can fire again as the scene leaves, to put the filter back where it was. Every rack keeps its own tempo and key A rack is a section now, not just a set of parts. Give the breakdown its own tempo, put the last one in another key, and switching racks live carries both across on the bar line. A new rack starts from the one you were standing on, so nothing changes until you want it to. More machines in the CC library It nearly doubled. A hundred and thirty two instruments from twenty two makers now load their real control map, each one read out of its own manual: Roland, Korg, Sequential, Oberheim, Yamaha, Behringer, Teenage Engineering, Sonicware, Modal, Dreadbox, ASM, Strymon and more. The chart also walks you through getting a controller talking to the app, step by step. Fixes Your saved projects show up again after updating. Nothing was ever lost, the shelf just would not draw. And a shelf that cannot be read comes back on its own instead of being saved over empty. A crash that could happen while one rack played and you looked at another. Custom kit samples no longer click, and a long hit like a ride keeps ringing when the next one lands. Stabs patterns open in the editor exactly as they sound.

Sequentia 3.0. The app stopped being a rack that loops and became a track you can play. Pattern slots on every module Roll a pattern you like and keep it. Roll another. Every module holds its slots, and you switch between them on the bar while everything runs. A slot hands back exactly what you put in it. Scenes A section of your track, saved. Put the scenes in order and the timeline plays them, or jump around by hand mid flight. The last bar of a scene can be a fill, and you say what happens at the end: loop, stop, or hand over to the next rack. Several racks in one project A rack is a whole set of modules. Keep up to eight of them in a project and change the rack live, on the bar, with a fill to announce it. You can build the next rack while this one is playing. Sampler Bring your own loop in. The app reads its tempo and key, warps it to the project, and it plays with everything else. Trim it, reverse it, pitch it, keep a different take in every slot, and export the warped file exactly as you hear it. Your own samples in Drums Drop your WAV one shots onto the eight lanes and the kit is yours. Tune, decay, tone and reverb on each lane, a folder used as a pool so every roll pulls a different hit, and kits you save and reuse. Your controller turns the app CC coming in moves the app's own knobs. Random, Mutate, mutes, note length, octave and the transport, all from the controller in front of you. Inside the app there is a searchable chart of every CC it answers, next to the switch that turns it on. Vinyl A record that turns while the rack plays. Nothing to program. Projects The library is a shelf of covers now, and a project has a page of its own. Shoot your own cover, rename it, play it from the shelf. A project saves itself. Undo goes back a hundred steps and survives closing the app. Seven tracks in the box Night Shift, First Light, Redline, Slow Motion, Voltage, Invaders, and Live Jam, which runs fifteen minutes in four movements. Open one and take it apart. Sound Fourteen drum kits drawn from scratch, with every hat on its own metal. A new voice for the built in synth: unison, FM, noise, drift, and velocity that opens the filter. The reverb and the delay were rebuilt so you can hear them. Also Eleven themes. An intro you can watch again. One fader for the whole drum kit. Ten more machines in the CC library. Every menu speaks the same language, and there is not one system alert left in the app. Fixed The last chord of a progression cut off at the loop. Chords disappeared after a key change. Random answered with silence. The acid drive crackled. Scrolling broke on iOS 26.

Three new modules. All three are free. CC Control Your synth's own knobs, on the phone. Pick your machine from the built-in library and its real control map loads, ready to turn. Over fifty synths, grooveboxes and drum machines, every map read out of its own manual. Arm the red R, turn a knob, and that move becomes a loop in time with the rest of the rack. Live Performer One pad for the whole rack. Move your finger and every module answers at once: density, variations, a break. Your arrangement, played rather than drawn. Euclid Three rings, each at its own length. They drift apart and land together bars later, which is the whole reason euclidean sequencers exist. Also in this version Chords ships a library of real progressions. Piano writes techno melodies, and you now decide what happens to your own melody when the project key changes. Hip Hop doubled its grooves and Glitch joined the list. The menu is rebuilt, undo works everywhere, and a shake takes back the last step. Fixed A module could show one sound and play another. The performer's ride would not switch back to manual. Typing a name could stall the app. Menus could be clipped at the bottom of the screen.

Sequentia 2.0. The app makes sound now. Until this release Sequentia only spoke MIDI. No gear connected meant silence. That is over. Every module has its own voice and plays straight through the phone. Press Play and you hear the pattern, no gear needed. BUILT-IN SOUND 87 sounds: 12 acid voices running a real 303-style emulation, 67 polyphonic presets, 8 drum kits. Families run from acid and bass through keys, plucks, pads, organs and kits. Open Sound in a module's menu, pick a family, pick a preset. It switches live while the pattern is playing, so you choose by ear instead of by name. Every module opens on a sound that fits what it writes, so a rack of six does not come out sounding like one instrument stacked six times. The speaker button on each module turns its sound on or off, and every preset is loudness matched, so changing sound changes the character and never the volume. Connect real gear and the phone sound steps aside. It will never double your synth. NEW MODULE: STABS Chord hits. Skank, stab, rave. 12 styles plus Random, loop length from 4 steps to 32, and a preset library. The chord slab visual shows every voice at its own pitch, so you can watch the chord move. DRUMS: 984 GROOVES, 18 GENRES Techno, House, Trance, Psy, Disco, Dub, Synthwave, Pop, Rock, Lo-fi, Funk, Hip Hop, Reggaeton, R&B, UK Garage, Trip-hop and more. Each genre carries its own swing, so House feels like House instead of Techno with different drums. PIANO WRITES IN A GENRE Not one generic style any more. Pick the genre and the phrasing follows it, so Piano sits with the rest of the rack. BACKGROUND PLAYBACK The pattern keeps running when you leave the app. Lock screen and Dynamic Island show what is playing, and a tap brings you back. ACID SLIDES ACTUALLY GLIDE They never did. The app wrote slides and the gates went legato, but the pitch never moved, on hardware or in the export. Now a slide bends pitch on your 303-style gear, in the exported MIDI, and in the built-in sound. BETTER STARTING POINTS Every styled module now lands on something usable the moment you add it, before you touch a control. Arp follows a Chords module by default. FIXES Bass Mutate did nothing on 8 of its 15 styles. It works on all 15 now. Rain drops trigger exactly the note you see hit. Onboarding and the in-app Manual were rewritten around the built-in sound. Sequentia still talks to your hardware first. The sound is there for when the hardware isn't.

New in 1.0.3 Bass: a new generative bass module. • Fifteen genres in one module: house, techno, acid, psy, disco, garage, trance, electro, funk, dub, DnB, 808, upright, synthwave and EBM. • Roll for a line, then shape it. Range goes from a one-note pulse to the full melody, alongside Drive, Gate and octave. • Humanize loosens the feel. Mutate evolves the line as it plays and is always reversible. • Add a Chords module and Bass follows your harmony. • Export the loop to a standard .mid file for any DAW. Plus small fixes and refinements.

- Rain, a new generative module. Rain scatters notes across your project key, from a light drizzle to a downpour. It never repeats, so every bar is a fresh fall. Shape it with Density, Storm, Range and Gate, and turn on Mutate to let weather fronts roll through. Because it never loops, Rain can bounce a take of any length up to five minutes straight to a MIDI file. - A full in-app Manual. Settings now has a proper Manual. Open any module to read what it is for, how to use it, and a clear description of every control. - Smoother MIDI export. Exporting now shows a progress state while your take is written, so you always know it is working.
