Intuition Check
Test and train your intuition
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad
Test and train your intuition — sense the value before it's revealed.
Intuition Check is an app for testing and practicing intuition. You guess a value — a number, a playing card or a picture — reveal it, and see whether you were right. Over many rounds it compares your hit rate with what pure chance would give. It can tell you whether your results depart from chance.
There are two modes. In passive intuition mode the value is chosen before you look, and you try to read it. In active intuition mode nothing is chosen until you reveal, and you try to will a value into being.
Partner game: two devices; one person picks, the other guesses.
You can export your statistics as a CSV text file, which spreadsheet apps such as Numbers can open. You can also give the file to your AI assistant and ask, for example: “In what circumstances does my intuition seem to work better or worse?”

• Thirteen more languages: Arabic, Hebrew, Korean, Chinese (Traditional), Italian, Turkish, Polish, Thai, Indonesian, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Vietnamese and Ukrainian. Arabic and Hebrew run right to left.
• In Arabic, Hindi and Thai, Settings → Language → Digits lets you choose between the language's own digits and Western ones.
• In French, German, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian, playing cards show that language's corner letters.
• Settings, Statistics and the other views now open in place, with a Back button instead of Done.
1.16 Sep 24
• Seven more languages: German, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Hindi, Australian English, Canadian English and Canadian French.
• Creating an image set opens it: "Create" in the New image set dialog, and "Empty set" from the + button beside the set switcher, both take you into the new set.
1.15 Sep 21
• "Save statistics on device" is now on the statistics screen itself, in a section above the filters, with a link to the privacy policy. While statistics are kept for the current session only, a note there says so and Hide dismisses it for good. The section has its own switch in Settings → Statistics → Sections of the statistics screen → Saving statistics.
• The digit grid now fits the screen by default.

Cosmetic improvements.
1.13.1 Sep 16
• Four more languages: British English, French, Japanese and Simplified Chinese. The interface, the ready-made sets and the names of their pictures are all translated.
• Settings → Language: numbers and dates can now follow your device region or the language you picked. If your language differs from your phone's, they now follow the region — pick "The chosen language" for what earlier versions did.
• Sets you already have pick up the names in your language, unless you renamed them.
• The + button beside the set switcher can now create an empty image set, ready for your own pictures.
• Adding a second Cards, Numbers or ready-made set asks first and suggests a name for it.
• A set with nothing to play now says why and takes you to its settings.
1.13 Sep 16
• Series play style, for active intuition: tap a value and a whole series of values is drawn at random and scored against it. Set the series length (2 to 10 million) on the main view or in Settings → Series, and the series time in Settings → Series. Each series is one entry in the statistics, which gains a Series results section, streaks of fully correct series, and the values you will most often.
• Round counts and results on the main view: how many rounds you have played and how you are doing, one count and result per mode and play style, with a reset button. "Save round counts and results" in Settings → Statistics keeps them between launches.
• Settings → Features: every feature added in recent versions has its own switch. Off, it is taken out of the main view, Settings and the statistics filters; nothing recorded is deleted.
• Settings reorganized: Mode and play style, One by one, Quick pick and Series each have their own screen. The sections of the statistics screen can be switched off in Settings → Statistics.
• Subscription: a yearly plan next to the monthly. A monthly subscriber can switch to it in Settings → Subscription; the yearly starts when the current month ends.
• Free hour: if it runs out before you have decided, the subscription screen lets you reset it for another hour, up to 3 times.
1.12 Sep 10
• Note your state while you play. A new bar in the main view lets you mark how you are right now — rested or tired, calm or stressed, sure or in doubt, after coffee, after exercise — and the statistics compare your rounds by state. Axes and states can be renamed, reordered, added, hidden or switched off in Settings → Your state.
• Statistics: sections by state and by time of day, a state filter, and streaks show the state they happened in. You can also delete just the rounds matching the current filters.
• Two buttons beside the guess-set switcher: + adds a ready-made set, the gear opens the settings of the current set. Each can be hidden in Settings → Guess sets.
• New setting "New features": when a future update adds a new optional element to the interface, such as the state bar or the two buttons above, choose whether it appears turned on or turned off.
• Version history link in Settings → About.
1.11 Sep 5
• Russian language. Pick it in Settings → Language, or let the app follow your device.
• Ready-made image sets and their captions are translated too, and your own guess sets can carry a name in each supported language.
• Settings reorganized.
• The "Tap to find" play style is now called "Quick pick".
• Partner mode was rebuilt on Apple's current networking stack. Both phones need version 1.10 or newer to connect.
1.10 Sep 3
• You can now rate the app right from the Statistics screen. It appears only when your results are notably above chance, and a Hide button removes it for good. Rating is still available any time in Settings → About.
• Clearer Settings: guess-tracking options are now grouped by what they affect, with a separate "Hit feedback" section for the vibrate/flash-on-a-hit options (which also apply to the Tap to find play style).
• Clearer on-screen hints in both Passive and Active modes, so the prompt matches whether a value is hidden or already showing.
1.9 Aug 21
• New help pages on the website — a step-by-step how-to guide and a questions-and-answers page, with quick links right inside the app (Settings → About, and beside guess sets, statistics and the partner game).
• Statistics: a new "Reading your results" note to help you make sense of your numbers, plus a link to more on the website.
• New setting: turn the tap pulse animation on or off (Settings → Main view).
• Small wording and polish.
1.8 Aug 18
You can now rate Intuition Check from inside the app. Open Settings — the sliders button in the top-right of the main screen — and tap "Rate the app" to go straight to the App Store rating and review screen. Ratings help other people discover the app.
Thanks for playing.

New in 1.6
• Tap to find — a new way to play. Instead of revealing one value at a time, lay the whole set out as a grid and tap to find the hidden value. Each tap is its own round; a correct tap lights up green (and buzzes, if you like). Works with cards, numbers, and image sets, in both Passive and Active modes.
• Arrange the grid your way — position it at the top, center, or bottom, or fit the whole set on screen without scrolling.
• A green flash on a hit — correct guesses now light up green, alongside the usual vibration. Turn either on or off in Settings.
• Your statistics, your choice — results now stay in the current session by default and clear when you quit. Turn on "Save statistics on device" to keep your history across launches. (If you already had saved stats, they're kept.)
• Filter your statistics by play style — compare how you do "one by one" versus "tap to find."
• A tidied-up Settings screen, smoother guess entry, cleaner number and set layouts, and a handful of small fixes.

Ready-made guess sets
Building a set from your own photos is lovely, but sometimes you just want to start guessing. Open Settings → "Manage guess sets", tap + → "Ready-made sets", and add a finished one in a single tap.
• Free: Zener Cards, Shapes, Colors, Rock Paper Scissors
• One-time purchase: Zodiac Signs — twelve star signs in gold
• See every picture in a set before you add it
• Each set comes with a "?" cover card shown before the reveal
• What you add is your own copy — rename it, reorder it, remove pictures, export it, or send it to a partner
• Add a set again whenever you like
Paid sets are an extra, separate from the subscription: buying a set doesn't include app time, and subscribing doesn't include the paid sets.
Know straight away whether you were right
With "Enter your guess" tracking, the app now tells you the outcome the moment the value appears, instead of leaving you to remember what you picked. A miss shows your guess beside the answer — as a thumbnail for image sets. You can turn this off in Settings → Guess tracking.
There's an optional buzz on a hit as well, switched off until you turn it on in the same place. It also needs System Haptics enabled in iOS Settings → Sounds & Haptics — with that off, nothing in any app vibrates.
A fairer draw
Every value is now drawn from the whole set every time, so the same card or picture can come up twice in a row. That is what makes the "compared to pure chance" figure on the statistics screen exactly right: the app used to quietly avoid repeating the last value, which shifted the real odds.
Say thanks
If you like the app, there is now an optional tip jar in Settings. Tips unlock nothing at all — everything works exactly the same either way.
Also in this update
• Contact support straight from Settings → About, with your app and iOS version already filled in
• A link to the App Store page in Settings → About
• Clearer wording throughout: the same name for the same thing everywhere, and "touch and hold" for that gesture
• The welcome screen's button is reachable on smaller iPhones
• The subscription screen always says why it appeared
• Statistics: clearer section titles, and the per-value chart now explains itself instead of vanishing for very wide number ranges
1.5 Aug 7
This update is all about making the game your own — and seeing how you're doing.
• Image sets — build guess sets from your own photos, added from your photo library, camera, or Files, and try to sense which picture is hidden.
• Multiple guess sets — keep several card decks, number ranges, and image sets side by side, each with its own settings, and switch between them right in the main view.
• Statistics — mark each round correct or wrong, or enter your guess before revealing and let the app score it. Then see how often you're right compared to pure chance, your best streaks, and how you're doing over time.
• Partner mode with images — image sets work in shared sessions too. Your set is sent to your partner's phone automatically, phone-to-phone over your local network.
• Share sets — export an image set as a file and share it by AirDrop, Messages, or Mail.
• Faster card display and other small improvements.
As always, everything stays on your device — no accounts, no analytics, nothing uploaded.
1.4 Jul 24
• Fixed a bug with card image rendering
• Smaller app size
1.3 Jul 13
• Export statistics: a new button on the statistics view lets you export the records that match the filters as a CSV text file, which spreadsheet apps such as Numbers can open. You can also give the file to your AI assistant and ask, for example: “In what circumstances does my intuition seem to work better or worse?”
