It can try to identify the song and artist while also analyzing the audio to estimate the genre and detailed subgenres it most closely resembles. Tap once, let it listen, and see both the song match and the musical style behind it when available.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
The genre recognition model runs directly on your device. GenreSense does not upload saved microphone audio to its own servers, and microphone access is used only after you start recognition. Song identification may depend on network connectivity and music catalog availability.
SONG MATCHES AND GENRES ARE DIFFERENT
Song recognition answers whether the audio matches a known track. Genre recognition estimates what style the audio sounds closest to. You may see both, one, or neither. Genre results are probabilistic and can be affected by background noise, speaker quality, recording conditions, complex mixes, live versions, covers, unreleased songs, and overlapping genre traits.
GENRESENSE PLUS
GenreSense includes optional features available through a one-time in-app purchase. GenreSense Plus unlocks full recognition history, saved recording playback, the complete explored Genre Catalog, and additional Daily Genre explorations.
