The film-cam app for your friends, not your followers. Snap it, boost it, keep the streak, share the run. Nobody's ranked. Posted, not performed.
Relay is a film camera for your friends. The group chat kind, not the ones who follow you.
No followers, no ranking. Your feed is your friends and your DMs are friends only, so no randoms. That's it. Nobody's grading you here. Post the blurry ones.
Take a photo and it develops with a warm film look, like a disposable. Post it, or send it to one person as an Instant: one look and it's gone, and if they screenshot it, you'll know.
Friends boost a snap with an emoji or comment on it. Keep streaks with the people you talk to every day, and put the ones who'd notice if you stopped posting on Best Friends.
Stuff it does:
- Film camera that develops your photos warm and a little vintage
- A Journal for your snaps and a feed for your friends'
- Instants that vanish after one look
- Emoji boosts, comments, streaks, and a Best Friends list
- Group chats with polls and games, and shared albums for up to seven people
- Runs and rides from Apple Health, with your route on a map and a flyover video
- A visibility setting on every post, down to exact names
If your friends aren't on Relay yet, bring them. Export a snap as a black and white card with a clock stamp and drop it in your Instagram story, or let Relay find people you know from your contacts. Got an invite code from a friend? It goes in Friends.

I took that as a challenge. I had my angles. I had a caption. I had a sunset I was going to pretend I didn't plan my whole evening around. Then Relay developed it like actual film. Like I'm a dad in 1994 at a drugstore counter, about to find out his thumb is in every picture from the vacation. I have never been this emotionally invested in a photo of my own sneakers. Then my friends saw it. Not followers. Friends. People who have met me. The first comment was "why is this your best angle." Another friend replied with a picture of her ceiling. No caption. That was her whole response, and it was the correct response. We have a streak now. I can't go to bed until I post. Last night I posted my toothbrush at 11:58 and three people liked it within a minute, which tells me none of us are okay.My mom asked who I was texting. I said "just Relay" and she looked at me like I'd joined something. I have. The typography is excellent.5 stars. Would develop again.

run, run as fast as you can.
relay's got workouts now. pull your runs, rides, and hikes in from apple health, and watch the route play back as a 3d flyover. douple-tap the bottom bar to swap in workouts or lynx. three caption ideas land by the time a snap develops, and snaps can now export straight to your instagram story. albums are a group thing now, up to seven friends adding snaps, and introducing relay anchor for parents, to manage screen time and features. posted, not performed.
