Learn to type with confidence—right from your Apple TV.
Type Along is a friendly, structured typing tutor designed for use with a physical Bluetooth keyboard. Learners build skills step by step through 48 progressive lessons across four complete courses.
Begin with individual letters, proper finger placement, and the home row. Then advance through capital letters, punctuation, numbers, symbols, common words, sentences, stories, practical writing, fluency exercises, and timed assessments.
Type Along includes:
• Four structured typing courses
• 48 progressive lessons
• Guided finger and keyboard instruction
• Adaptive Daily Practice sessions
• Personalized Problem Keys exercises
• Beginner, intermediate, fluency, and advanced assessments
• 18 achievement badges
• Accuracy, speed, stars, and progress tracking
• Stories, sentences, paragraphs, and practical typing activities
• Bright, kid-friendly colors and gentle feedback
• Accessible, comfortable text designed for television viewing
Daily Practice adapts to recent performance, while Problem Keys creates focused exercises for the letters, numbers, and symbols that need extra attention.
Learners can earn badges for completing courses, improving accuracy, building speed, practicing consistently, and mastering challenging keys. Badges celebrate personal progress without leaderboards or competition.
Type Along encourages accuracy before speed and keeps learning calm, clear, and rewarding. No account is required, and all progress is stored locally on the Apple TV.
A physical Bluetooth keyboard is required for typing activities. Use the Siri Remote to navigate the app and the keyboard to complete lessons.
Learn. Practice. Grow.
