Fixed the wire speed on thick steel. On MIG mild steel at 3/16" and up, Auto showed ".035–.045" wire but gave the .045 feed, about 20% too slow if you run .035. Auto now names .035 and gives its own feed: 240–290 ipm at 3/16", the same number Hobart Brothers publishes for .035 wire. Running .045 on plate? Pick it under Wire and the feed changes to match.

Sheet gauge on the dial. The thickness card now has a third unit, ga, next to in and mm. Steel reads the way the shop talks about it: 16 ga, 14 ga, 11 ga. A 10 gauge stop was added, the most common sheet on the floor. Plate still shows as 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", and aluminum stays in inches, since that is how it is sold. Saved jobs and the share card now follow your unit setting. If you run in millimeters, your saved jobs finally read in millimeters too. This came straight from a welder's note in the app. Keep them coming.

Pick your wire. A new WIRE row lets you choose the spool you actually have — .023, .030, .035 or .045 (and 3/64, 1/16 on aluminum) — and the wire-feed speed re-derives for that wire. Auto still gives the thickness-based pick. Gas-shielded flux-core. Flux-Core now has a Self-shielded / Gas-shielded switch. Gas-shielded gives you E71T-1 numbers — DCEP, 75/25 or CO₂ — from a published chart, not a guess. Saved jobs remember your wire and shielding. Both came straight from your feedback — keep it coming.

Travel speed is here. MIG, flux-core and aluminum results now show how fast to move — inches per minute — plus the heat input that lands you at. It's the one setting you control with your hands, and it was the top request from a welder using the app. Aluminum also got a hard accuracy pass. Wire feed, amperage and voltage on thicker plate were re-checked against published manufacturer charts and corrected — wire feed on 3/64 wire was reading about 1.5x too high, and heavy plate now steps up to 1/16 wire like the charts do. Every number is still a starting point. Verify on your machine.
