A smoother, sharper Ocio. • See more like this: event pages now suggest similar nights to try. • New sets from Faro open with its message at the top, and a holo ticket waves while it looks. • Bigger event pictures that always load, and event pages that open more smoothly. • Hold the new scroll tab on Browse and the theme pages to race through long lists. • Ocio Mercury is the new default look, with light that drifts across now and then. • Locked chats stay hidden everywhere, and share sheets scroll to reach every chat. • Plus a full sweep of fixes across the app.

Bugs shown the door, floors swept, lights checked.

Say hello to the new Ocio! Ocio has a whole new look. Our new mark is a holographic ticket, because every great night starts with one: you'll find it on your Home Screen and all through the app. Everything is set in a new typeface, and every section has been redesigned around one continuous night sky. Meet people, then make a plan * OcioConnect has its own tab. Faro introduces you to one member at a time, with no name and no photo, and nothing is revealed until you've both said yes. * Chats have been rebuilt: reactions, replies, forwarding, pins, stars, editing, delete for everyone, photos, voice notes, video and GIFs. * Group chats: name them, give them a photo and a background, and make other members admins. * Share an event into any chat or group, and add it to your plan in one tap. * Share which evenings you're free, so finding a night that suits everyone takes seconds. * Add a profile photo, with move and scale to frame it. * Give any chat its own theme, archive it, or lock it behind Face ID. There's an optional Face ID lock for the whole app too. * Report a message or a member from inside any conversation. Every report is read by a person on our team. Better nights out * I'm going: say you're going to an event and see who else is. Others see that someone is going, never your name. * Music previews: on a live music night, hear 30 seconds of every act on the line-up, and bookmark the ones you like. * Venue playlists: group the venues you love into collections of your own, give each one a cover, and share it. * Saved events, with a Recently viewed rail so you can find your way back to a night. * Photo Booth: take a strip of four or make a card from one photo, then send it straight to your Instagram story, your WhatsApp status or Photos. * Follow a venue and hear when it announces something new. * On the night, a Tonight card appears on your Lock Screen a couple of hours before doors. A sharper Faro * Tell Faro how you're feeling, from Chilled to Buzzing, and the picks follow your mood. * Adjust now sits beside the box you type in, and carries the date and start time, so you can ask about a specific night without spelling it out. * Ask Faro, Plan ahead and Browse each keep their place when you switch between them. Make it yours * Hundreds of themes drawn from films and albums, in a new Appearance gallery. * New: the Underground collection. Nineteen London lines, each in its own colours, with a lit handrail, matte steel and the seat fabric it wears. Membership * Your plan is shown wherever it matters, and changing or cancelling it is clearly signposted. Plus hundreds of smaller fixes and refinements.

Meet other members. This is the biggest update since Ocio arrived. MEET MEMBERS Turn on "Open to meeting members" and Faro introduces you to one member at a time, picked from what you both enjoy. If you both say yes, you get a private conversation. You decide when you are available and which events you are visible at, you can report or block anyone from any screen, and blocking is silent and permanent. It stays off until you switch it on. FARO REMEMBERS Your conversation with Faro now stays for a week, grouped by day: Today, Yesterday, then the weekday, then the full date. Older days tuck away until you open them, and everything clears itself after seven days. TELL FARO WHEN A new Adjust button under the conversation opens a date and a start time, so you can ask about Saturday evening without typing it. A PROPER WELCOME New members get a short, swipeable introduction to Ocio and Faro before the taste questions, with the tab bar out of the way until you are done. Choosing a spend is a slider now, and Skip no longer hangs on a slow connection. A NEW LOOK - A three-second opening animation when you launch. - Ocio Mercury, a seventh theme: airbrushed chrome under a cobalt key light. - Real metal. Buttons and avatar discs are lit brushed metal that shifts as you tilt your phone, with a translucent finish on the theme control. - Ask Faro, Plan ahead and Browse now wear gold, chrome and rose gold. - Swiping back reveals the screen behind through a soft defocus that resolves as it lands. FIXED - Picking any theme and swiping back used to apply The Shawshank Redemption instead. Fixed. - The Matrix theme made the whole app feel slow. It does not any more. - The keyboard stayed up over Faro's answer when you pressed Send. It closes now, and tapping anywhere off it closes it too. - Far fewer buzzes: down from 138 places to 59, and changing page never buzzes. ALSO - Account now sits in the bottom bar. - Moving between tabs is a tap on the bar rather than a swipe. - You can close your account from Account, giving a reason, without contacting us. - Connect Apple Music and Ocio picks a theme from your taste. It never plays anything.

The biggest Ocio update yet. • Themes — dress Ocio in the look of 351 films and albums: spin the new theme wheel and watch the whole app come alive. The Matrix's digital rain, Pirates' treasure gold with a living ocean, Blade Runner's rainy neon city, Dark Side of the Moon's prism over spinning vinyl — every theme repaints every screen, live. • Search the full theme catalogue — start typing any film or album name and suggestions appear as you type. • Weather-wise picks — Faro checks London's skies before suggesting your night: rooftops and terraces when it's fine, cosy cellars when it rains. • Plan your best tonight — one tap and Faro lines up your whole evening. • Sold-out watch — keep an eye on a sold-out event and we'll nudge you the moment tickets come back. • Faster Faro — quicker first picks, smoother animation everywhere, and dozens of polish fixes.

What's new in 1.0.6 — our biggest update yet: • Arrival reminders — opt in and Ocio nudges you to check in when you reach a venue you've saved or planned. • Your check-ins now stick — the event shows you're here for the night. • Live music: hear a 30-second preview of the artists playing. • Browse by genre — filter live music to the sound you want. • Set the energy of your night with the new OcioTempo control. • Faster, smoother, and lots of polish.
