New: Your Today screen now opens on a practice suited to the hour, six more Pranayamas to explore, and favorites to keep the ones you love close.
Pranayama is a focused space for everyday breathwork. Open the app and it offers a practice suited to the time of day — then move through traditional pranayama techniques and guided meditations, paced by a breathing orb that expands and contracts with every inhale and exhale.
PRACTICES
Twelve traditional pranayama techniques, plus guided dhyana:
• Sama Vritti (Box breathing) — equal four-part breath to steady the mind
• Dirga Pranayama (Full yogic / three-part breath) — deep, complete breathing
• Nadi Shodhana / Anulom Vilom (Alternate nostril) — balance and clarity
• Bhastrika (Bellows breath) — invigorating, energizing breath
• Bhramari (Humming bee breath) — a soft hum to release tension
• Kapalbhati (Skull-shining breath) — sharp, cleansing exhales
• Ujjayi (Victorious / Ocean breath) — a soft ocean sound to settle into
• Viloma (Interrupted breath) — a climbing breath, paused partway
• Surya Bhedana (Sun-piercing breath) — right-nostril breathing to warm and wake
• Chandra Bhedana (Moon-piercing breath) — left-nostril breathing to cool and quiet
• Sheetali (Cooling breath) — drawn over a rolled tongue
• Sheetkari (Hissing breath) — drawn through lightly clenched teeth
• Guided dhyana — Kaya Sthairyam (body steadiness), Prana Dharana (focus on the breath), and Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses)
OPENS WHERE YOU LEFT OFF
There is nothing to set up. The app suggests a practice for the hour you open it — something bright in the morning, something quieting at night. Heart the practices you return to and they lead your Today screen, with the ones you practiced recently just below.
CONFIGURABLE SESSIONS
Set your own pace and duration before you begin. Each technique adapts its inhale, hold, exhale, and pause to a breath spec you control, so a session fits the time and energy you have.
THE PRANA ORB
A gentle, breathing orb guides every round visually — no counting, no clock-watching. Just follow its rhythm. Optional audio and haptic cues mark each phase, so you can practice with your eyes closed or your screen away.
SEE YOUR PRACTICE GROW
Every session is saved on your device. Progress tracks your streak, your minutes this week, and time in each technique, and every practice has its own insights screen. Share a plain-text summary of the day's practice whenever you want to.
DESIGNED TO BE CALM
• A warm, seasonal palette and quiet typography
• Full Dynamic Type and VoiceOver support
• A reduce-motion option for a stiller experience
• Works entirely offline — no account, no sign-up
Breathe with intention.
Love this app for keeping up with my pranayama practice! Would be awesome if it showed my history and progress over time—that'd really help me stay motivated. Also missing a few well-known ones like Surya Bhedana, hoping those get added soon. Still, it's got tons of common practices that have been great for my mental health.

Great and intuitive app
Vishnuv2
A beautifully designed breathwork app that makes daily pranayama simple, calming, and easy to stick with.
A rebuilt Today screen, twice the practices, and favorites:
• Favorites — tap the heart on any practice to keep it close. Hearted practices lead your Today screen and get their own filter in Explore.
• Six new Pranayamas — Ujjayi (ocean breath), Viloma (interrupted breath), Surya Bhedana and Chandra Bhedana (sun- and moon-piercing), and the cooling Sheetali and Sheetkari. Twelve in all.
• Share your day — a new card at the top of Progress sums up the day's practice and shares it as plain text.
