One click and a complete Linux computer boots in a window - isolated, private, yours to break. Experiment freely; it reaches your own files only if you share a folder. AIFCC starts a complete, private Linux computer in a window - not a remote machine, not a container, but a real ARM64 desktop with its own disk, its own browser and its own terminal, running locally through Apple's Virtualization framework. Click one button and it boots: a browser, a terminal, a text editor, Python, Node, Git and modern coding tools, all ready to go. It is hardware-isolated, so you can install anything, break anything, and experiment freely. It cannot reach your own files - the only exception is a folder you deliberately share with it, and you choose that folder yourself. WHAT YOU GET - One-click launch: no setup, no command line, no disk images to hunt down - A genuine ARM64 Linux desktop rendered natively in a window, not a laggy remote screen - Full internet access, a clean browser, a terminal, and a working developer toolchain - Your files and settings persist between sessions - and survive app updates, because your home folder lives on its own disk that updates never touch - Throwaway sessions that save nothing, and a one-click factory reset when you want to start over - Send files back out with "Send to Mac", or grab a screenshot or screen recording of the desktop - Private by design: everything runs on-device, there is no account, and no data is collected SUBSCRIPTION AIFCC is free to use for 3 months from first launch. After that, the auto-renewing subscription "AIFCC Yearly" - 1 year, EUR 49 (or the equivalent shown in your local currency) - keeps it running. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews automatically every year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it any time in your Apple Account settings. OPEN SOURCE The Linux desktop is built from open-source software. The package manifest for each release, the scripts that build the image, and directions for obtaining the corresponding source are published at https://github.com/franzenzenhofer/aifcc-guest-source Terms of Use (EULA): https://aifcc.franzai.com/terms Privacy Policy: https://aifcc.franzai.com/privacy Open-source notices: https://aifcc.franzai.com/licenses Requirements: an Apple Silicon Mac running macOS 14 or later, and about 34 GB of free disk space.

The Linux desktop inside AIFCC is open-source software, and this release makes it easy to see exactly what that means. The package manifest for every release, directions for obtaining the corresponding source, and the scripts that build the image are now published at github.com/franzenzenhofer/aifcc-guest-source, and they are linked from Settings > Legal. The Terms of Use now grant you the rights to those open-source components directly, so no distribution channel's terms can restrict what their licences allow. You keep full root inside the Linux desktop and may modify or replace anything in it.
