Heard in a meeting or a chat, and nobody stops to explain. The card has the term, a short explanation and a real sentence — in your language and the one you're learning.
It went past on a call. In a thread, in a video. Nobody stops a meeting to explain what a word means.
Open Inkling and a few of those terms are waiting as cards. Each card is the term itself, a plain definition, and one real sentence that shows how people use it — in your language and in the language you are learning, on the same card.
The decks are already made. Nothing to build, nothing to type in, no account.

HOW A DAY LOOKS
- One topic at a time. You pick it, and you can change it whenever you want.
- You pick how many new cards a day: 5, 10, 20, or no limit. Cards due for review are added on top of that number.
- You open a card, read the definition and the example, and mark it yourself: "I know it" or "Review".
- A card you mark for review does not leave the set. It comes up again the same day, and on the days after, until you mark it "I know it".
- Cards you are done with go to your shelf. Progress shows the count itself, in words, not just a bar.
- No streaks, no lives, no leaderboard. A skipped day costs nothing.
TWO LANGUAGES ON ONE CARD
Every card exists in English, Russian, Japanese, Korean, French and Spanish. You choose the language you read in and the language you are learning, and both sit on the card at once: term, definition, example. Useful if you work in one language and think in another.
ALSO IN THE APP
- A home screen widget with the day's card.
- A reminder brings a term to the lock screen, and its meaning if the card is new — once a day or a few times, you choose how often. Reading it there is enough; nothing has to be opened.
- Tap the term to hear it read out loud.
- Search inside a deck when a word comes up and you want it now, without touching the day's set.
- Browse any deck card by card.
- Light and dark.
- Works offline. The cards are on the device; new ones arrive when there is a connection.

Inkling does not teach you a language. It gives you a small finished thing to read, and keeps bringing it back so it has a chance to stay.

Two new topics: Product & UX and Startups & Venture, 150 cards in each. Both are open from the start, like the topics that were already there.
The Library looks different: every topic has its own cover instead of a row in a list.
Fixed:
Tapping a card in a topic opens that card, not the first one.
The day counter counts distinct cards — sending one to review no longer raises the number on the right.
"Rate Inkling" opens the review form in the App Store.
When you share a card, the whole message is in your own language, and the link goes to the topic's page.
Settings has been rebuilt, and the color in it is ours now.
About shows the app's own mark.
If a card reads wrong or a definition is off, tell us. That is the fastest way for the topics to get better.
