Sisterhood Works

Multilingual Women's Community

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Sisterhood Works is a safe, multilingual community built for women navigating life in the Netherlands — including women from Eritrea, Iran, Afghanistan, Somalia, and countless other backgrounds, alongside Dutch-speaking members who share a commitment to inclusion. Whether you're newly arrived or already settled, Sisterhood Works helps you find your people, your language, and your next step forward. WHY SISTERHOOD WORKS • Speak your language, always — Every message, training document, and screen is available in English, Dutch, Arabic, Tigrinya, Persian (Farsi), Dari, Pashto, and Somali. • Real connection, not just an app — Join community groups, message sisters directly, and get matched with a buddy who's already walked your path. • Built-in safety — Report and block tools, moderated groups, and a team that reviews every report. • Completely free to use — No subscriptions, no ads, no hidden costs. COMMUNITY CHAT Join group conversations and one-to-one direct messages with sisters across the country. Every message is automatically translated into your chosen language in real time, so language is never a barrier to connection. Share text, photos, voice messages, and files with ease. BUDDY SYSTEM Sometimes you just need someone who's already been through it. Our Buddy System matches newer community members with experienced sisters for guidance, a listening ear, and genuine friendship. Browse available buddies, read their stories, and request a connection. TRAINING PROGRAMS Grow your skills through workshops and courses run by our team — covering everything from language and identity to practical life in the Netherlands. Every training is translated into all supported languages, so nobody is left out. MY JOURNEY CHECKLIST Your personal roadmap. Track meaningful steps in your settlement journey — from completing your profile to bigger life milestones — and watch your progress grow, one step at a time. SISTERSHARE A community gift board where sisters pass on what they no longer need — clothing, children's items, books, household goods — completely free. It's generosity made simple, and every shared item is an act of solidarity. STAY CONNECTED Get notified about new messages, upcoming trainings, and community updates — all from one dedicated notifications screen, fully customizable to what matters to you. A SPACE BUILT ON TRUST Your privacy matters. We never sell your data or use it for advertising. You control what you share, and you can delete your account at any time, directly from the app. Read our full Privacy Policy for details. Sisterhood Works is proudly powered by WelkomNL, dedicated to helping newcomers navigate life in the Netherlands with confidence. Download Sisterhood Works today and discover a community where every sister is welcome — no matter where she comes from, what language she speaks, or where she is in her journey. Empowering sisters, together.
