Ten stops, one bay, twenty-five centuries of history — narrated as you walk, in eight languages. Nice is more than a beach and a promenade. It's the winter capital that English lords and Russian princes once came to warm up in, the city whose light Henri Matisse couldn't leave, an Italian old town that became French only in 1860 — and this guide walks you through that story, stop by stop. Ten carefully written, five-minute stories take you from the Hôtel Negresco to the Castle Hill: the pink-domed palace built by a penniless dreamer, the famous blue chairs of the Promenade des Anglais, the Sun Fountain of Place Masséna, the flower market of Cours Saleya where Matisse lived, a young martyr who arrived by boat carried by angels — and gave the Bay of Angels its name, Garibaldi's arcaded square, the colourful old harbour, and the hill where Greek sailors founded the city twenty-five centuries ago. WHAT'S INSIDE • 10 stops on a real walking route, drawn on the map • A 5-minute story at each stop — listen, or read on screen • Eight languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified & Traditional Chinese • Beautiful, modern design — no dusty museum feel • "Near you" suggestion using your location (optional — everything works without it) • Background playback, lock-screen controls and Live Activity • Works offline once a language is downloaded Designed for travellers who want the soul of a place, not a list of dates. Put in your headphones, follow the route, and let Nice tell you its story.
