GAME OPTIONS
• After picking your club at New Game, you now choose how the game plays. Every option starts the way the 1993 original played; change any and the game is marked custom, with one press to go back to the 1993 classic. Once the game starts, the options stay as they are.
• Foreign Teams Can Bid: clubs abroad come into the market. They bid for listed players nobody at home wants, go after your league's stars and best prospects, and can outbid a club at home. They only spend what clubs in your game have paid abroad, so no money comes from nowhere. With it on, Offer Transfer To Clubs can find a club abroad too.
• 12 Month Loans: every loan runs to the end of the season, with no extensions to agree.
• Players Moving Abroad can be switched off, so your stars on expiring contracts stay put.
• Named Foreign Squads (mod): players at foreign clubs get names from their own country instead of GOALKEEPER, DEFENDER and so on.
• Inflation (mod): every price rises each season, from wages and transfer fees to tickets, sponsors and prize money.
• Saves started before this version can switch on 12 Month Loans once, from Settings > Game Options.
PLAYERS
• Real career histories in every edition: a player's career screen shows the clubs he really played for, season by season, and seasons abroad now name the club, not just the country.
• Academy players develop in the reserves, so the best prospects reach the first team with time left to reach their potential.
• Fewer new players are red card or injury magnets: aggression, temperament and injury proneness now mostly land in the middle, with the extremes rare.
• Other clubs no longer bid for a newcomer before your scouts could have watched him.
ONLINE LEAGUES
• A league picks its Game Options when it is created, and the lobby shows them before kick-off.
• A Classic Transfer Market league prices players the 1993 way every week.
ALSO
• The loan message after a shortlist loan now appears in your language.

NEW IN v3.4.0
THE INTERCONTINENTAL CUP
• Win the European Cup and the next season you play a one-off final in Tokyo against one of South America's top clubs. The first season's final is the real one from that year, and the trophy goes into your club's and your own trophy case. In Brazil 1994, the Copa Libertadores winner meets one of Europe's top clubs. Saves already in progress get it too.
PLAY IT SIDEWAYS
• Every screen is now sized for a phone held sideways. The squad shows all its players at once in two columns, the match report puts the two teams side by side, and the live match uses the full screen with the scorers under each club. Turn the phone mid-match and the layout switches without stopping the game.
LIVE MATCH
• The match controls take one slim row: slower, pause and faster are icons, with the speed, turbo and Go To End Of The Match beside them.
STATS & HISTORY
• A player back from a loan, or who moved clubs mid-season, keeps all his games on the league lists: Top Goalscorers, Average Ratings, Worst Discipline and M/O/M Awards.
• A club's stat lists keep everyone who played for it this season, even players since sold or loaned out.
• Manager History shows only the games you managed. Taking over mid-season no longer hands you your predecessor's results, and moving clubs keeps the season you had at your old one.
SAVE GAME EDITOR
• Edit foreign clubs: search for one under Edit Clubs to change its name, stadium, capacity, reputation and kits.
ONLINE LEAGUES
• Move to another club without being sacked first: apply from Job News, or a bigger club may come for you.
• Manager History and your Trophy Case follow your own career.
• Fining a player counts for the whole league, and a win bonus stops when its manager leaves.
FIXES
• NEW SEASON always starts the new season.
• England 1995/96 saves no longer get a second Premier League schedule.
• No more crash when using a controller or arrow keys on some menus.

v3.4.1 Oct 5
NEW IN v3.3.0
TROPHY CASES
• Every manager now has a trophy case. Yours is under Managerial; any other manager's opens from the red TRPH button on his club's Staff screen, or by tapping his name on Manager Scores, Manager Rankings and Manager Salary. The HISTORY button shows his clubs season by season, with division, league place and trophies, and each case wears his club's colours.
• A club without a manager now reads VACANT on Manager Scores.
GROUNDS & CLUBS
• Other clubs expand their grounds too when they fill them, and every expansion is really paid for.
• A player still on the transfer list at the end of the season, aged 31 or over, drops into non-league football, just like 1993. His club is paid for him.
• Generated Players squads now have realistic ages.
TRANSFERS & SCOUTING
• Every scout takes the same time to report on a player. A better scout reads him more accurately, not faster.
• Letting contract talks fail no longer keeps a player off the market: the next club that can pay takes him. A swipe on the contract screen now asks before you walk away from the talks.
• A player's THIS SEASON figures cover his whole season, including games played before you bought him.
MATCHES
• Put your goalkeeper first on the penalty list and he takes the penalties.
• Two teams in similar colours no longer play in the same kit.
ONLINE LEAGUES
• A weak connection no longer leaves you stuck after a match day.
• Every manager banks his prize money in full, and the end of the season no longer resets your team sheet.
• Take a job mid-season and the board sets a fair target for the club you inherit.
• BOARD DECISION hands the appointment to the board properly, a promoted manager's ground no longer grows twice, and the league's weeks no longer slow down after staff searches or last-minute deals.
LOOKS & SAFETY
• Half stars are exactly half a star on every device, and Job News names the division cleanly.
• If your device loses its storage mid-game, the game can now put your players back too.

v3.3.0 Sep 29
NEW IN v3.2.0
PLAYERS & SCOUTING
• Young players who get regular games now develop a little faster, coming closer to their potential.
• A scout report says how far a player can still go, and your own players' factfile shows it too: the part of his potential he can no longer reach is in faded gold.
• A scout sent out late in the season files his report over the summer.
TRANSFERS & CONTRACTS
• Shortlist a player straight from the transfer list or the foreign market.
• Walk away from a signing you won and the player goes to the next bidder.
• A club no longer refuses your bid over its squad depth and then sells the same player to a rival.
• The board will renew a player at the wage it already pays him, and a club whose bid was accepted no longer drops out of the auction over a few thousand pounds.
• A club you turn down for a job stops asking until its manager's seat falls vacant again.
YOUR CLUB
• Prize money now reaches every club at the end of the season. A player leaving for a club abroad could stop the payout for every club after his, often yours included.
• Your win bonus works in online leagues, and no longer follows you to a new club.
• The penalty takers list opens with your best takers at the top.
• Winning the Anglo-Italian Cup brings the board's trophy news and counts towards your standing.
ONLINE
• A sale you agreed now sticks: a player sold at an approach no longer stays in your squad to be sold again.
• Two managers watching the same match no longer drift out of sync.
EASIER TO USE
• A PLAY button on the main menu save slot and on every save in CONTINUE SEASON.
• SEND TO CLOUD and SEND TO DEVICE buttons for cloud saves.
• On iPhone, the HELP button no longer covers your save card, and Job News fits the screen.
• A factfile's season figures now count every club a player turned out for, loans included.
SAFETY NETS
• Your career survives a device storage failure between two weeks.
• A slow connection no longer shows an error while the game is still loading.
ALSO
• Half stars line up properly, the save editor can change a club's away kit, and editions can carry turn-of-the-century European formats.
Thanks for playing BOSS93!
v3.2.0 Sep 23
NEW IN v3.0.0: ONLINE MULTIPLAYER
• Run a private league with your friends. Start a league or join one with its code. Each of you takes a club, and the game plays the rest of the division around you. It's a full BOSS93 season shared between real managers.
• Live matches, manager against manager. When two of you meet, you each sit in your own dugout and watch the same match unfold, with team talks, substitutions, MATCH STATS and a shared clock. TURBO speeds up play, and PAUSE is a proper stoppage.
• A living transfer market. Bid against the other managers and the AI clubs alike. A bid war plays out in the open: the player chooses between the clubs still in, and the winner sits down to agree his contract. Loans, friendlies and contract talks between managers are each the owner's own call.
• The league talks back. Resignations, sackings and job offers reach everyone, starting with the managers who have no club. Cup draws, monthly awards and the week's managerial news all arrive in their proper place.
• Bring an audience. Anyone with the league's code can join as a VIEWER, even once the season is under way. A viewer has no club and nothing to press: they follow the league week by week, watch any live match from the stands and chat along.
• Easy to set up. NEW LEAGUE uses the same screens as New Game, with a BACK button on every step. SHARE sends the invite straight from the lobby, and START tells you what's still missing before kick-off.
Also: a player who has left the game no longer lingers on your Short List.
Thanks for playing BOSS93!
v3.1.2 Sep 20
BOSS93 v2.049
Players abroad play for their real clubs, on every edition. Batistuta and the rest now line up at the actual club they were at, not just a club in the right country.
Your pre-season friendly headlines a full card. Arrange one and the rest of the league — plus non-league sides and clubs from abroad — book their own warm-ups against sides of similar standing. Cancel yours and the card goes with it.
Three new formations: 4-2-3-1, 4-3-2-1 and 5-3-2 Attacking, in every picker and mid-match. 5-3-2 Attacking pushes the wing-backs up and a midfielder in behind the front two: it scores like a 5-3-2 and concedes a good deal more.
Search the foreign market. Select Division has a new FOREIGN MARKET option, so Normal Search runs over the Players Abroad pool alongside your own divisions.
The board reacts to your European nights. Knock out one of the giants and the boardroom says so; losing a cup tie to a non-league side is finally judged for what it is.
A top player only signs for a top-flight club. No more championship-quality 22-year-olds dropping into the lower leagues; going home to a former lower-league club is for the over-31s.
Mouse drag works again on touch-screen PCs (touch laptops, 2-in-1s, touch monitors) — shirts, numbers, tactics and the penalty list had gone finger-only.
v2.049 Sep 14
A REBUILT CLASSIC ENGINE
• New Classic saves now play the way the 1993 original did — whole-side ratings, home advantage that grows with how far the visitors travelled and fades to nothing in a derby, a crowd that lifts the big occasions, hold-your-shape substitutions, and Europe's giants (Milan, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Bayern) as the wall they were. New Classic games only; saves already under way play exactly as before.
• Classic matches feel like 1993. The captain's leadership passes to whoever takes the armband instead of vanishing when he goes off; extra time is a real 30 minutes; injury time is played and the clock reads "Inj"; bookings finally cost you (five points a yellow, a two-match ban every twenty) with FA fines for a dirty squad; and the Match Statistics screen adds up to 100 again.
• Run the club into the ground and someone buys it. The board watches the money now — a warning, then an order to sell, then a takeover that clears the debt and decides whether to keep you.
FOREIGN PLAYERS & CLUBS, MADE REAL
• Players abroad now play for real clubs, in every edition — at the club they really played for, in its squad and its side when you meet it in Europe. The stars who emerge in later seasons arrive at their own clubs too: a teenage Henry at Monaco, Messi at Barcelona, Beckham at Manchester United, Totti at Roma.
• Foreign clubs open up. Their transfers, club page and trophy cabinet — listing only the trophies they can actually win — all open like any other club's.
MORE TO PLAY
• England 1995/96 keeps turning up new talent — a hundred-plus future greats (Kane, Sterling, Foden, Saka, Bellingham…) arriving at their real clubs.
• Pick your side by tapping a shirt.
• A player who would only come on loan no longer looks like a signing: a yellow name means he'd sign, a cyan name means loan-only, with a colour key under each list.
• The Save Game Editor can re-import a downloaded edition, export and import via CSV, and pull material from another edition.
AND A LONG LIST OF FIXES
• A goalkeeper no longer turns out of position and no side takes the field a man short on the bench; managers stay at a club long enough to be worth appointing; a player sold abroad keeps his transfer history and appears in the buyer's transfers; a damaged save can no longer overwrite your good cloud backup; a European holder who wins the league goes up rather than sideways; no club is drawn twice in a cup round; and plenty more.
Thanks for playing BOSS93!
v2.048 Sep 10
BOSS93 v2.046
A rebuilt match-fitness model, a trophy cabinet, and real career histories for the 95/96 stars.
New
- Trophy cabinet. A new TRPH button on every club's Info screen opens its honours board — league titles, cups, super cups and European trophies, each with how many times it's been lifted and a grand total.
- Career histories in England 1995/96. Every player opened on a blank career table; the top flight's 93/94 and 94/95 seasons have been researched club by club — the great imports (Bergkamp, Cantona, Schmeichel…) arrive with a past, and every foreign-market name rated 170+ across both England editions now has his league career on record, Baresi to Ronaldo.
Match fitness, the 1993 way
- Fitness recovers at the start of the week, so Saturday's dip shows on your squad screen — a tired man wears a yellow T. Older legs playing every week wear down; a rest helps your most tired men most, and a blank week now rests the squad too.
- Computer managers pick on fitness too, the whole bench gets used, and nobody plays a dead half-hour — minutes saved Saturday mean a fresher man Wednesday. FINISH now manages your game like a real dugout (subs judged by your reputation; your formation and style stay yours).
Development
- See which skills are on the way up. After a season rolls over, a small arrow sits beside each skill on a player's report — up for one he's come on at, down for one age is taking back, steeper the bigger the move, and none at all for a skill that stood still.
- A player's skills now follow his ability and he keeps the game he was born with — no more strikers forced into the same mould. A dual-position man (a DEF MID) can finally grow into a passer.
Also
- New GMS (games played) stat, an editor "one-club man" flag and adjustable bench size, plus fixes (loan listings no longer block outright bids, and stars flagged for abroad actually go).
v2.046 Sep 3
NEW IN v2.045
NEW EDITION
• England 1995/96. Take charge the season that answered "you can't win anything with kids" — Cantona back, the fledglings coming of age, Keegan's Newcastle chasing all the way. 92 clubs across the Premier League and three divisions, with the full 95/96 European slate: a Champions League qualifying round into seeded groups, a 64-club UEFA Cup, the Cup Winners Cup and a two-legged Super Cup. Hand-researched by community creator Dennis Ørholm Kvist.
MANAGERS & TRANSFERS
• Player-managers are untouchable — the era's playing bosses can't be poached out of their own dugout, and carry on as manager when their boots come off.
• Foreign stars sign for clubs that suit them: a world-class player in his prime no longer drops into a mid-table side, and the biggest names hold out for the biggest clubs.
• A happy young star with a high ceiling turns down sideways moves to clubs no bigger than his own.
• Future Stars can be switched back on — the settings toggle now opens both ways.
SCOUTING
• Scout reports reveal the attributes a player's page hides — a midfielder or forward's goalscoring, a keeper's agility, and consistency, aggression, temperament and injury-proneness — a superb scout giving exact figures, a weaker one a widening range.
• Top scouts flag early and late bloomers, no longer oversell wonderkids, and their reads sharpen with every repeat look at a competition.
SEARCH & GETTING AROUND
• Search the whole game — a magnifier finds any player or club by name from the hub, Team Choice and the friendly picker.
• Swipe to get around on a phone, the post-match report included.
• Football years across career and transfer history, Club Records and Manager History; Club Records adds most appearances and most goals; Club History pages back through the decades.
FRIENDLIES
• Book pre-season friendlies against non-league sides — with their real FA Cup squads — played in the order you arrange them and respecting both clubs' real calendars.
THE SAVE GAME EDITOR
• Now invents as well as edits — add new players, create your own non-league and foreign clubs, and write future stars of your own. It can also be hidden for good, from one save or the whole device.
ALSO
• Save cards name their edition (handy with two England worlds). Contracts expire in football years, with warnings through a deal's final season. Every season draws its own fixture list. Cup honours name the round reached, and the CAPACITY figure is explained on a hover.
FIXES
• A rival-bid VIEW SQUAD opens your own squad; factfiles no longer advertise a loan the club will refuse; injury recoveries in a week share one message; rehabilitation's finance buttons work again; news banners use your edited club colours; Esc goes back exactly one screen; and slow connections no longer stall the loading screen.
Thanks for playing BOSS93!
v2.045 Sep 2
NEW IN v2.044
• Save Game Editor. A new EDITOR button on the SAVE GAME screen — pass the 1993 Copy Protection check and reshape any player or club: skills, ages, positions, personalities, injuries, club moves, money, grounds, kit colours and staff, or seed a few wonderkids into the world. Ability numbers stay hidden unless you ask. Edited saves are flagged, so honest careers stay honest.
• Form earns a call-up. National-squad selection now weighs goals, ratings and man-of-the-match awards in the top division, so the league's hottest striker can displace a bigger name having a quiet year.
• Seasons read as football years — 93/94, 95/96 and so on, instead of Season 1, Season 3 (the full year in calendar-season editions like Brazil and Norway).
• A farewell VIEW FACTFILE button on the end-of-season retirement news.
MATCHES & SQUADS
• The Team Coach no longer starts players you've put up for sale — though a star only listed because he's agitating for a move still gets picked.
• Good players survive a spell in non-league — a relegated club climbing back no longer regenerates its roster from scratch.
• A substitute can now wear the captain's armband, and the C tag follows the handover in the ratings and match report.
• A formation set before kick-off sticks as your standing setup; changes after kick-off apply to that match only.
• Players who move abroad stay in the game — a home-grown star's transfer abroad is no longer undone by the end-of-season tidy-up, so he stays scoutable, signable back and eligible for his country.
• A one-off NEXT GAME win bonus no longer wipes your standing EVERY GAME one.
SCREENS & INTERFACE
• Past Winners remembers every era — page buttons for long careers, readable on phones now, with names that open the club's squad.
• Manager Salary reads the save's own staff records, so appointments, sackings and generated names all show correctly, and a vacant seat shows no name.
• The SAVE GAME buttons fit a phone, two to a row.
• A new scout survey no longer buries the last report — the Scouts screen clicks through to a scout's last filed report while the new survey runs.
RELIABILITY
• Cloud saves upload far faster and more reliably — deep saves are compressed before they leave your device, so slow-connection uploads no longer time out.
• The friendly-opponent list works again on older phones.
Thanks for playing BOSS93!
v2.044 Aug 27
Match & gameplay
Goalkeepers are now rated on the saves they could have made. A keeper's match rating used to be measured against a flat league average, so a keeper peppered by a ruthless forward line was marked down for goals nobody would have stopped — over a season, keepers rated up to half a point below outfielders of the same ability, and cheap keepers looked worse than they played. He's now judged against the chances he actually faced: stand on your head against a top attack and the rating says so; wave in soft shots from a blunt one and it says that too.
Late substitutions no longer skip the penalty shoot-out. In a cup tie that went the distance, making a substitution in the dying minutes of extra time could dump you straight onto the result screen with the penalties already decided off-stage. The shoot-out now always plays out on screen, kick by kick, no matter how late you tinker.
The Players Abroad list stops running out of defenders. Clubs shop the foreign list by position, and the end-of-season restock used to replace whoever left without minding what the list was short of — so after many seasons it could end up nearly all midfielders and attackers (one season-28 save was down to 14 defenders in 177). The restock now steers new arrivals into whichever positions the list is missing, and a lopsided list rebuilds its proper mix within a few seasons.
No more managers called "New". A retired Brazilian great who goes by one name — a Romario, a Rivaldo — could pick up a bogus "New" first name when a club sacked him, and then turn up in the Manager Scores as NEW ROMARIO. He keeps his one name now, and any manager already carrying the bogus "New" loses it the next time you load the save.
App & interface
A RATE APP button. In the phone and tablet app, the Save Game screen now carries a RATE APP button. One tap opens the game's App Store or Play Store page so you can leave a rating — on iPhone, iPad and Mac it can bring up the review box there and then. It only appears in the installed app, where there's a store to open.
The board menu no longer says Board Resign. The button is now just Board — its old name led some players to avoid it altogether, worried a tap would resign them on the spot.
Several screens no longer slip into English mid-game. Confirm dialogs, a few match-commentary lines, board and transfer messages, and some player-status labels could show their English text no matter which language you'd picked — now translated.
v2.043 Aug 18
NEW IN v2.041
• Swipe to go back. On iPhone and iPad, slide in from the left edge to step back a screen — quick, natural navigation with no hardware back button needed.
• Choose your starting division. Beginning a new career with generated players? Name your manager, then pick which division to manage in, anywhere in the pyramid. Move your club and it settles in as a middling side at its new level, with the league reshuffling around it so every division stays full.
• Your physio earns his keep. After a run of congested weeks he now warns you which players are tiring and carrying a raised risk of injury — so you can rest them before they break down.
• Every player's transfer history. Open a player's career screen and tap TRANSFERS to see every move he's made — the clubs, the fees, loans and free transfers — and jump straight to any club's squad.
• Win bonuses, your way. Pledge a bonus for every game as before, or just for the next match — ideal for the big derby, with nothing left riding on the games after it.
• Promising youngsters stay in the world. A well-rated player released at 22 now drops into non-league football instead of vanishing — keep an eye out and sign him yourself.
• See whether a player improved over the summer. Ability is shown in half stars, and a good season rarely moves a whole half star on its own — so a youngster who really did get better could look exactly as he did last year. A small gold arrow now sits beside ABILITY on his page when the summer left him better than before, and a red one when age has started taking it back. A player who's reached his potential shows neither, however many games he plays — the answer to why he stopped improving. It shows on your own players and on anyone your scout has watched this season.
Also in this update:
• The league table now fits your phone in portrait, with full club names and no sideways scrolling.
• The PRV button is back on the squad screen — your last match report is one tap away.
• Squad and transfer fixes: the coach never fields a goalkeeper out of position; a club that says it would rather sell than loan a player now actually sells; and the overseas transfer market keeps a healthy spread of positions over a long career.
• Attendance figures now count only the matches you play at your own ground.
• A clear explanation — instead of a crash — when your browser won't allow saving, such as private/incognito windows or the browser built into another app.
• A whole round of league fixtures can no longer be skipped when stepping back into the last-results screen from the hub.
• European clubs are no longer coached as if they played non-league football — the backroom bonus meant for a coach working far below his level was being handed to every side in Europe, the biggest clubs most of all.
• European clubs no longer come after your backroom staff; they have no wage bill or squad for a physio or scout to work on.
• Starting a famous club in a lower division no longer keeps its old backroom staff — the coach, physio and scouts now match your new division, like everything else about the club.
Thanks for playing BOSS93!
v2.042 Aug 11
Players now develop and decline skill by skill, not as one number — youngsters who play pull ahead, and an ageing playmaker keeps his craft long after he's lost a yard of pace. Watch your reserves: a rare few are early or late bloomers who only tip their hand out on the pitch.
New: send a scout to sweep a whole division or competition for talent. Stars you sell abroad now actually play abroad. Four more languages — thirteen in all. Plus save-recovery and pre-match squad fixes.
v2.040 Aug 3
BOSS93 now speaks nine languages — Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Polish, Romanian, Turkish and Greek — full translations you pick in Settings.
The squad screen now reveals four hidden attributes (aggression, temperament, injury proneness, consistency), young players keep developing for longer, and your scout rates each man's professionalism.
Plus tougher European runs, first-teamers who stay put, stronger save-loss recovery, an older-Android startup fix and smaller fixes.
v2.039 Jul 31
A big realism and accuracy pass. Squads outside England now field proper left- and right-sided players and real two-position men; France's First Division was checked against the record books; and future greats (Stam, Kahn, Figo) grow into the players they really became.
Top clubs stop selling their first team down the pyramid, foreign stars no longer drop to lower divisions, and red cards now bite in simulated matches too — an early one is a real blow. Plus European-draw and squad-list fixes.
v2.038 Jul 28
Four new editions: Germany 1991/92, Brazil 1994, France 1993/94 and Norway 1995 — real clubs, squads and continental cups from each, on the New Game screen.
Weak cup opponents now field a full eleven, with named stars shown by name. Team names in a match report are tappable. Damaged saves self-repair after a device-storage failure, and a low-space warning prevents silent data loss. Plus many transfer-auction, tactics and season-change fixes.
v2.037 Jul 25
New updates:
- The live-match screen is refreshed: a cleaner, easier-to-read MATCH CONTROL deck, with a new GO TO END OF THE MATCH bar that plays the game out instantly — behind a confirm, so a stray tap can't end it by accident.
- Weekly updates are much faster: clubs only re-pick their team when something actually changes (injury, ban, transfer, new manager), so there's less waiting between weeks.
- Listing a player now clearly reads "IS TRANSFER LISTED AT" with your price.
v2.036 Jul 21
- Three new editions: Portugal 1993/94, Holland 1994/95 and Scotland 1996/97 — real clubs, squads and cups from each season, on the New Game screen.
- Tactics overhaul: wide anchors and supports, plus the new Diamond and Christmas Tree formations. Retired greats can return as coaches, scouts or managers, and you choose whether future real stars appear. Plus board-confidence, job-offer and penalty-list fixes.
- Many bug fixes
v2.035 Jul 20
- Match presentation: 1993 feeling commentary script; new in-match RATINGS pitch (sector power heatmap); DEF/MID/ATT bars build from the play; MotM to the top-rated player (keeper included); discipline recalibrated to 1993 rates (injury foul → often a red).
- Living world: the stars of tomorrow come through over the seasons (Scholes '93/94, young Messi 2003/04…); big matches pull big crowds.
- Transfers: players pick the bigger club, not the biggest cheque; contested moves are proper auctions; settled stars won't drop down on a whim; player↔manager character clashes; AI develops signings on loan; only true world-class get tempted abroad; new STA Transfers panel (transfers/loans/both/neither); wage-gripe TEAM NEWS.
- Classic Mode: the 1993 valuation model.
- Injuries/fixes: insurance covers Basic rehab; Italy/Spain edition-data mix-ups fixed (self-repair); boot rides out a server hiccup.
v2.030 Jul 16
New in v2.026:
- Boot/connection: a dead download shows a clear "NO CONNECTION" screen (not a crash); post-download loading-freeze recovers itself; slow-phone false "took too long" race fixed (resumes the big squad read instead of restarting).
- Foreign market: Players Abroad list refills each season; locked stars can't stay hidden >5 seasons; marquee fees settle near true worth; young high-level players valued like stars.
- Economy: bigger England prize money, especially lower divisions. Further balances in transfer market pricing activity
- Fixes: goalkeepers read plain "G"; boards give a new manager a proper run before sacking; haggle stepper layout on small screens.
v2.026 Jul 13
- Injuries: fund rehab (Hi-Tec/Intermediate/Basic) straight from the injury popup.
- Selling: refuse on your terms (name a counter-price or take him off the market; review your squad in the approach); "will only sell for…" keeps him listed; List Him now sticks; your squad reopens to approaches each season.
- Fixed a rare stuck black screen on iPhone (slow storage on launch now rides out or recovers instead of hanging).
- When you've left a club: your old club plays its manager's real team (no Cantona in goal), manages its squad like any AI side, and leaves you in peace (no stray popups).
- Economy: lower-league clubs start with a kitty (English games) so the lower market is alive; better Div 1/2 sponsor money.
- Fix: the European Cup final is always played.
v2.025 Jul 11
What's new:
• Offer your own players out — shop a player around for transfer or loan instead of waiting for bids.
• Players now haggle over contracts (wages & length) instead of flatly refusing.
• The board has real expectations — hit its season target or risk the sack.
• Crowds respond to the team you field, and your ground grows when you keep filling it.
• Approach, loan or shortlist players straight from the lists.
• Plus many transfer, loan and stability fixes.
v2.024 Jul 9
What's new in BOSS v2.016:
• New FOREIGN LIMITS option — each edition enforces its era's foreigner rules.
• Tap any result to unfold the goalscorers; league positions now show on fixture & result rows.
• Influence now grows over a career — regular football makes leaders.
• Smarter transfer market — listed players priced to sell, AI stops overspending on the bench.
• The app now tells you when a new version is out — tap to update.
• Plus many bug fixes.
v2.019 Jul 7
What's new in BOSS93 2.014:
• Stuck cup competitions now un-stick themselves — a missed cup round replays on your next CONTINUE and frozen draws resume; affected saves heal automatically.
• A player willing to sign permanently will now also accept a loan — an easier yes, never a harder one.
• Players explain their rejections in their own voice, on every path (loan auctions no longer swallow the reason).
• Listed players' clubs decide on a loan and stick to it for a couple of weeks instead of flip-flopping.
• Fixed an iPhone crash in Player Search after a save silently failed to load — it now returns you to the menu to retry.
v2.014 Jul 5
BOSS93 2.013:
- Transfers & scouting (major overhaul): every transfer list is now a scouting desk with expandable player panels (scout ABI/POT ratings, WATCH shortcut); sort any list by column; AGE column + phone-fit tables; drop from panel; real-style auctions (bid meeting the ask is accepted on the spot, no gazumping — everyone gets one match, then the player decides).
- Squad/coach/market: a kindred coach calms clashes; Increase Wages opens at the player's asking figure; foreign stars judge your club properly when you approach them.
- History/records/UI: cup history decoded ("EUROPEAN CUP SEMI FINALISTS"), phone-friendly history & records with meaningful colours; Club Info fits the screen.
- App (native): may ask to send occasional notifications + nudge you back at peak moments; a rating prompt after a trophy/promotion.
- Fixes: no supercup final vs yourself; Keith Gillespie is Northern Irish again; faster loading on older iPhones + patient save-DB open on slow Windows browsers; own-goal ticker colours.
- Manager-name entry no longer traps you — an ADVANCE button appears as soon as you type (first name + surname), centred on phones, with stray spaces trimmed. No need to know ENTER confirms.
v2.013 Jul 5
NEW IN v3.5.0
