Data import and export - new in this version. Export. Two formats: CSV, a table that opens in Numbers or Excel, and JSON, a full copy of your data for transfer and restore. You choose what to include: transactions, categories, wallets, notes. CSV import. A step-by-step read of the file: Float detects the separator, the encoding and the header row on its own, shows how the data will land, and lets you map the columns - date, amount, merchant, category, wallet. Ambiguous dates and amounts are confirmed by hand rather than guessed. Categories from the file can be matched to existing ones, created as new, or skipped. Before anything is written: a review of how many rows will be added, where the errors are, and which duplicates will be skipped. An import can be undone in one action. Restore. A JSON backup brings back expenses, categories, wallets, pools, budgets and recurring payments. Records already in Float are not duplicated. A restore can be undone too. Alongside this - fixes in import, export and interface localization.
