More name days: Georgia, Vasiliki, Dimitra, Angeliki, Nikoletta, Konstantina, Panagiotis, Marios and 200 more names now match your contacts. Every saint and name day is also on our new website, orthodoxcalendar.net. New: share a name day greeting card to your Instagram or Facebook Story, or send it in an Instagram message, a Facebook post or Messenger. Tap the share button next to anyone celebrating today. Also: faster typing when you search names, the English option now hides Greek saint names, and text that is easier to read in dark mode. New saint: St. Chrysostomos of Florina the New Confessor, commemorated September 7 (September 20 for Old Calendar users).

Old Calendar dates fixed: the Name Days screen and saint pages now show feast dates in the calendar you've chosen (e.g. St. Andrew on December 13 for Julian users). Thank you to everyone who sends in corrections.

This update refreshes our App Store preview images so they show the app as it is today — the saints of the day with their icons, the fasting calendar, and name-day wishes. Thank you for the name-day corrections you keep sending. Χρόνια Πολλά!

• A short welcome on first launch: choose your calendar, find the name days in your contacts, pick your greeting wording and set a reminder — all in about a minute • Saint icons in colour: forty-three saints that had black-and-white engravings now have traditional painted icons, frescoes and manuscript miniatures from museums and monasteries • Fasting: ordinary Wednesdays and Fridays now show wine and oil allowed, as the Archdiocese calendar lists them • Small fixes and refinements

Fasting calendar. Today now shows whether it is a fast day and what is permitted — strict fast, wine and oil, fish, or fast free — with the rule that applies. Fast days are marked on the month calendar, and every day’s list explains its fast. Follows the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese guidelines, on both the New and Old Calendar.

GREETINGS EVERYONE UNDERSTANDS • Greeting cards and messages now say Χρόνια Πολλά and “Many Years!” together, so friends who don’t read Greek get the wish too • New Settings option: choose Greek, English, or both for your name-day greetings • Reminders use the same wording you pick

• Many More Saints — over 2,200 saints and feasts, five to seven every day instead of one, each with name variations so many more name days are caught. • Saint Search — a new Saints tab: look up any saint by name, Greek name, or name variation, filter by month, feast type, or name days, and see dates on the Old or New Calendar. • Pick the Exact Saint — when a name belongs to several saints (John, Ignatius, Clement…), choose which one your person celebrates with. • Smoother on Older iPhones — fixed the freezes some users saw while the app read their contacts. • Saint Icons — traditional icons for 350 saints and feasts. • Update Alerts — the app lets you know when a newer version is on the App Store.

• Saint Biographies — every saint now has a short life story. Tap any saint to read it. • My People — add children and loved ones who aren't in your contacts and get their name-day reminders. No contacts access needed. • Wish Everyone at Once — when several of your people celebrate, send one group message with a tap. • More names — September 1 saints added (including the 40 Holy Virgin Martyrs of Thrace), plus masculine and feminine name variations for every saint.

• Share beautiful name-day greeting cards to Instagram, Facebook and Messenge • Share any feast day to Facebook with a rich preview • New artwork for every type of feast — martyrs, hierarchs, prophets and more • Expanded Life of St. Elesa, protector of childbirth and expectant mothers

• Read the Life of the Saint — biographies for over 60 major saints • Pascha, Holy Week, Ascension, Pentecost and all movable feasts now on the calendar • New saints: St. Nektarios of Aegina & St. Phanourios • Name-day greetings now include a link so loved ones can read about their saint
