- Choose where your coach's voice plays: tap Speaker or Phone during a session. Speaker is now the default, so you can keep the phone at your side. - Your round note is now saved even if you close the app, lock your phone, or lose signal right after a post-round session. It finishes the next time you open the app. - Updated for iPhone Duo.

Version 1.2 is the biggest update yet. The coach has a new voice, and almost every screen has been rebuilt to be cleaner and easier to read. A NEW VOICE COACH The voice coach has been rebuilt from the ground up. It sounds more natural, responds faster, and holds a conversation better. It now follows your coaching profile - your go-to focus over the ball, your cue word, the energy you want before a shot, and the moments you've chosen to work on. ROUND NOTES, REDESIGNED After your post-round talk, the coach writes one clear note you can read in under a minute: - The shots worth banking - What went well and what you learned - One thing to carry into your next round - Things to work on, added straight to your work-on list Your pre-round coach now picks up that carry-forward next time you play. TRENDS YOU CAN TAP The Mental Scorecard is no longer just a graph. Tap commitment, routine, composure, or recovery to open its trend, then tap any round to see exactly why it scored the way it did, in the coach's own words. A CLEANER APP - Coach: sessions grouped into Play, Practice, and Anytime - You: your latest round notes and work-on list up front, with everything else one tap away - Tips: a tip of the day and a simpler category browser, with every tip reviewed and tightened - Coaching profile: redesigned, and every setting now reaches the coach - A smoother welcome for new players, with a spoken greeting from your coach PRIVACY Voice audio is not saved. Session transcripts are deleted from our voice provider within 7 days. Your journal, round notes, and scorecard stay on your device. Full details at releasegolf.app/privacy. ALSO IN THIS UPDATE - The driving range session has been retired. Practice round and putting green sessions remain. - Round scores now stay in sync between your round note and your scorecard. - Fixed duplicate items on the work-on list. Thanks for playing. Session improvements: longer pre- and post-round conversations, faster coach response, and clearer connection status.

Fixed an issue where the coach could interrupt itself during conversations

New: Your Mental Scorecard See how your mental game tracks over time. After each round, talk it through with your coach and Release builds your mental scorecard. As you log scores across your rounds, Release looks for honest patterns between your mindset and your scoring — drawn only from your own game. It takes around 14 scored rounds before it'll offer its first real read, because a pattern worth trusting has to earn it. No guessing, no generic advice. Plus: reliability improvements to voice coaching.
