Buw: Focus Timer & Pomodoro
Finish session, or get roasted
Free · In‑App Purchases
Focus and your scruffy little bird glows up. Bail early and he gets roasted. Now with app blocking, 15 new looks, and six ambient tracks.
Meet Buw — a scruffy little bird that lives on your iPhone and actually cares whether you focus.
Start a session and Buw settles in to work alongside you. Finish it, and Buw glows up into a brand-new form you collect — swan, raven,
peacock, owl, phoenix. Bail out early… and Buw gets roasted. It's the ugly-duckling arc, on a timer: gentle stakes that make you want
to show up.
FOCUS YOUR WAY
• Pomodoro timer with short and long breaks
• Flowtime — no countdown, just focus for as long as you're in the zone
• Optional auto-start for breaks and the next session
• Tag your sessions (Study, Code, Read) to see where your hours go
ALWAYS A GLANCE AWAY
• Lock Screen Live Activity shows your timer counting down
• Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets for your timer, today's focus, and your streak
• Buw reacts to everything — focusing, pausing, finishing, taking a break, bailing
• Optional forest birdsong while you focus
COLLECT THE LOOKS
• Three things to collect: how Buw looks while you focus, the transformation you earn, and the roast you get when you quit
• Every one is unlocked through real focus — long sessions, streaks, late nights, comebacks
• No shop, no currency, no grind — just the hours you put in
• Pin your favorites, or let each session surprise you
SEE YOUR PROGRESS
• A focus heatmap, daily and weekly trends, and a breakdown by tag
• A session-by-session timeline you can reflect on and annotate
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Everything runs on your device — no analytics, no tracking, no accounts
• Syncs across your iPhone and Mac through your own iCloud
Buw Pro unlocks the full collection plus complete stats and timeline. The core timer, breaks, Flowtime, ambient sound, and tags are
always free.
Focus, or get roasted. Your move.

Stay on task, three ways
Off, Strict, or Whitelist. Strict means leaving the app mid-session fails it on the spot — no grace, no pretending it didn't happen. Whitelist blocks everything except the few apps you pick, with Buw himself on the block screen.
15 new looks
The collection grows from 13 to 28 — new focus looks, new transformations, new roasts. And the free tier now gets three per slot instead of one.
Six ambient tracks
Forest birds has company: pine forest, songbirds, rain & thunder, gentle rain, and rain & chimes. Switch tracks straight from the timer.
Buw has opinions
A line under the clock that shifts as the session goes. Finish and he brags about it. Quit at 24:30 and he'll tell you exactly how close you were. Poke him while he's working and he'll let you know how he feels.
Also
• Background scenery can be switched off for a plain, still timer
• 12/24-hour time format now applies on iPhone too
• Send a test notification, or clear all history, from Settings
• Fixed a Live Activity that could double up after a force-quit
