Zerosum is an excellent zero-based budget application. It‘s more robust than competitors and more customizable than YNAB. And less expensive. If you want to import your transactions, Plaid is now available. If you don’t want to import or Plaid isn’t available where you live, your lower subscription price doesn’t subsidize those who do use Plaid.

Loving the app so far. I was looking for a zero based budgeting app after trying Every Dollar and YNAB and found this. It was easy to set up and connect my accounts with Plaid. The UI is easy to navigate and it has tons of reporting options to show what your money is doing. Customer support is always prompt.

After 14 years using YNAB, I’ve finally found a software that beats it and for way less! Highly customizable, ridiculous levels of reports, and it just works. I highly recommend you give Zerosum a chance because I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I’ve been using Zerosum for about three months after trying numerous other budgeting systems. I’ve found a new home to plan and track my finances. I really like the plethora of highly customizable reports. This is as close to perfection in zero based budgeting I’ve found!
