Rediscover one of history’s oldest games. Royal Game of Ur blends strategy, chance, captures, bonuses, and beautiful artwork in an elegant game for one or two players.
Royal Game of Ur brings one of the world’s oldest known board games to life with elegant artwork, smooth animation, and easy touch controls.
Dating back more than 4,000 years to ancient Mesopotamia, the Royal Game of Ur is a classic race-and-strategy game played with coins, dice, special rosette squares, captures, and exact moves. This digital version preserves the spirit of the ancient game while presenting it in a beautiful modern format.
Players move gold and silver coins along the historic game path, throw four binary dice from a wooden bowl, capture opposing coins on shared spaces, and earn extra turns by landing on rosette squares. The first player to move all seven coins off the board wins.
The game includes multiple play modes: Human vs Human, Human vs Computer, and Human vs Computer with enhanced AI. Whether you want a casual match or a more thoughtful challenge, Royal Game of Ur offers a fun blend of history, luck, and strategy.
