Run Rivals turns every outdoor run into a GPS race you can hear. Pick what chases you, start an open-ended run, then keep going until you are done. As the gap between you and your rival changes, the chase audio changes with it: footsteps, breathing, snarls, and wingbeats rise and fall under your own music, so you always know who is closing in without staring at your phone. This isn't a scripted radio show. The chase reacts to your real pace on a real route, so no two runs ever sound the same. HOW IT WORKS - Pick a run mode: Steady Pace, Varied Pace, or Sprint Intervals. - Pick a rival with its own pace, pressure pattern, and chase style. - Press start. We ask for location only when you begin a run. - Run as long as you want, then tap Finish when you are done. - Listen as your rival reacts to your pace in real time. - Watch your in-run health bar — a game stat that drops when a rival catches you and refills when you settle into a steady rhythm. - Finish to see your route replay, near-miss moments, and result. MEET YOUR RIVALS - Turtle: steady and forgiving, great for easy days, walk-runs, and getting started. - Zombie: slow, relentless pressure with late-run bursts. - Cheetah: short, sharp chases with long recovery windows between attacks. - Shadow: race the ghost of your own past run on a route you've done before. AUDIO-FIRST BY DESIGN Your rival lives in your headphones. Quiet creature sounds build under your music as the gap narrows, then a short cue marks the big moments: a strike, an escape, a comeback. Keep your own playlist going and dial the mood from Subtle to Cinematic. PLAYED SAFE Run Rivals is made to be played with your eyes up. The chase never tells you to sprint into traffic or cross unsafely. Use Pause whenever you need to stop safely, then resume when you're ready. SEE WHAT HAPPENED Every run is saved on your device with a map replay that marks where you got caught, where you escaped, and where the chase changed. Your route stays on your device — shared result cards show stats only, never your map or location. RUN RIVALS PRO Upgrade to Pro to unlock the full rival roster — from the Turtle and the Cheetah to the Shadow of your own past run — plus premium run modes: Varied Pace for rolling pressure changes and Sprint Intervals for short hard surges with calmer gaps. Run Rivals Pro is an auto-renewable subscription billed at the price and period shown in the app before purchase. If an introductory free trial is offered, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
