DayTake: Photo a Day Diary
Private daily journal
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
One photo a day. No filters. No editing. No performance.
DayTake is a private diary for people tired of curating their life — one real moment a day, and a film about your year when it's done.
THE RITUAL
• One notification a day, at a random time inside your active hours.
• Point your camera at something real. One shot. 60 seconds to retake if you fumbled — then it's locked forever.
• You don't see your photos right away. The first reveal happens in your timeline. That's not a bug — it's the whole point.
AI THAT STAYS ON YOUR DEVICE
• Apple Foundation Models read each photo and write a warm, poetic annotation: what's in the scene, how the light feels, the emotion of the moment.
• Everything runs on your iPhone. Your photos never leave it.
BLANK DAYS ARE PART OF THE STORY
• Miss a day? DayTake marks it as a quiet signal, not a failure.
• Go quiet too long and it goes quiet with you. No guilt, no streak anxiety.
YOUR LIFE AS FILMS
• Weekly Recap — your week in 15 seconds
• Monthly Film — your month as a short film
• Annual Documentary — 365 days, one film, with AI-written narration and subtitles
GO DEEPER
• Emotion calendar and trends
• Health bridge: heart rate, HRV, sleep and steps on each day's card
• Weather context for every photo
• Voice diary: a 10-second audio note when a photo isn't the right answer
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Not a social network. No feed, no likes, no followers.
• Synced through your own iCloud, if you want it. Nothing is uploaded anywhere else.
365 days from now, you'll have a film about your actual life.
