Millrace
On-device batch OCR
Only for Mac
$49.99
Mac
Millrace turns folders of scanned documents into searchable PDFs, with OCR and document processing on your Mac.
BATCH PROCESSING
Process folders, pause and resume work, use watched folders, and choose compression presets with a before/after preview.
CHOOSE YOUR OUTPUT
Choose the output folder, document name and rendering mode. Keep the original appearance, clean paper shadows and contrast, or try an experimental text copy. Text copy can omit images, logos and signatures; keep your originals when visual fidelity matters. OCR may contain recognition errors.
IPHONE COMPANION
Receive scans from the free Millrace Scan app using QR pairing and encrypted transfer on your local network. Review received documents before saving or processing them. Share named destination choices with a paired device only when you authorize it. A destination proposal still requires approval on the Mac.
DOCUMENT TOOLS
• Searchable PDFs and optional local document indexing
• Redaction, Bates numbering and document stamps
• Digital-signature checks and SHA-256 receipts
• Automatic document organization and watched folders
• Compression preview and Factur-X XML tools
PRIVACY AND CONTROL
OCR and document processing run locally. No Millrace cloud account is required. If you choose a cloud-synchronized folder, Files provider or sharing service, that service handles your exported documents.
Millrace for Mac is a one-time purchase, with no subscription or in-app purchases. Requires macOS 14 or later.
