Drop a whole batch on the Dock icon and it all lands in one window. • Dragging several images onto the Dock icon used to open one window per image. The batch went into one of them and the rest were empty, so it often looked as if ImageForge had opened with nothing to compress — and trying again only added more empty windows. • ImageForge is now a single window with a single queue. However many images you drop, they all land in the same place. • For the same reason, "New Window" is gone from the File menu. If you close the window, bring it back with Window ▸ ImageForge Window (⌘0), by clicking the Dock icon, or from the menu bar item. As always, all processing happens on your Mac — nothing is ever uploaded.

This release is about trusting what the app tells you. • Converting no longer replaces an existing file without asking. You now get the same Keep both / Overwrite / Cancel choice as everywhere else, and anything about to be replaced is backed up first. • The Trash backup keeps its promise. The copy is now made before your originals are touched — and if a copy can't be made (on a network share, for example), ImageForge tells you before overwriting anything instead of after. • Cancel now really cancels. It used to say "cancelled" while the engine kept working and kept replacing files. A file already being compressed may finish compressing, but it is no longer written. • Portrait photos no longer come out sideways. Rotation is applied to the image itself, losslessly, instead of quietly dropping the orientation tag. • Colours stay true on wide-gamut displays: the colour profile is preserved. • Metadata removal (EXIF / GPS) now applies to PNG too, not just JPEG. • Dropping a mix of formats onto the Dock icon — say a .png and a .jpg together — now works. It used to open ImageForge with an empty queue. • JPEG files come out a little smaller at the same quality. As always, all processing happens on your Mac — nothing is ever uploaded.

This release makes drag-and-drop safer, adds a real safety net when you overwrite originals, and brings five new languages. Drag & drop: • Dropping a folder — or several images from a folder — now reliably imports and compresses everything inside. • Drop a file that is already in the list and ImageForge asks whether to process it again — handy when it changed on disk, or to re-optimize. Overwriting originals: • A clear warning before a batch replaces your originals in place, with a "Don't ask again" option. • Trash backup (on by default): a copy of each original is moved to the Trash before it is overwritten, so you can always restore it. Toggle it in Settings. Languages: • Five new languages — Portuguese (Brazil), Traditional Chinese, Russian, Turkish and Polish — bringing ImageForge to 15. Everything still runs 100% on your Mac — nothing is ever uploaded.

A workflow-focused update: dropping or adding more images no longer clears the current batch, every row shows its size from the start, and the Profiles editor gains delete and cancel. Workflow: • Drag in more images — or add them with + (⌘O) — while a batch is running or after it's finished, and they're appended to the queue instead of replacing what's already there. Duplicates already in the list are skipped; use Clear to start over. • Every file shows its size on disk from the moment it's queued — ImageOptim-style — not only once it's done, with the final before → after · −XX% still appearing on completion. Profiles: • Delete custom profiles you no longer need, straight from the Profiles editor. • Cancel a new or duplicated profile before saving, and it no longer lingers in the list. Polish: • "Show in Finder" is now dimmed when a batch spans several source folders, so it only offers to reveal a single, unambiguous location. ImageForge now speaks 10 languages — added French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Japanese, Simplified Chinese and Korean. Deeper Finder integration: • New right-click option — "Compress in place with ImageForge" overwrites the originals directly, alongside the existing "Compress with ImageForge". • A new Finder integration section in Preferences explains both options and links straight to the system setting to turn them on. Fixes & polish: • Dropping several images at once onto the Dock icon now queues every one of them. • Various localization and interface refinements. Reliability and polish across the board: • Fixed a crash that could occur when using Watch Folders (Pro). • Faster, smoother results when compressing large batches of images. • You can now drop a folder onto the main window to compress every image inside it — just like the Dock icon and the Finder shortcut. • Custom profiles now appear in the profile picker, so you can pick them for any batch. • Cancel now reliably stops the batch, and Pro unlock state stays in sync (including restores and refunds). • Better text contrast, keyboard navigation and VoiceOver support. • Streamlined Preferences and a number of under-the-hood fixes.
