• Step into a new city, region or country and you'll get a notification to collect your coin — even while the app is in the background. Coins you haven't collected yet wait for you. • Footprint Passport world map: smaller places like Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore now light up when you visit. • Performance and stability improvements.

Improved the Footprint Passport feature

【New Features】 ‧ City Commemorative Coins: Receive a commemorative coin the first time you visit a new city, province, or country—City Silver Coins, Province Green Coins, and Country Gold Coins. Collect them all in your “Footprint Passport.” ‧ Achievements expanded to 172: Discover new series such as “Favorites & Local Finds,” “Faraway & Extreme Destinations,” and “Festivals & Moments,” along with hidden achievements waiting to be unlocked. ‧ Navigate to places you’ve visited with one tap using Apple Maps, Google Maps, Amap, or Baidu Maps. ‧ More flexible Trip Albums: Select any number of days to create your own Trip Album, or split an automatically generated album into two. 【Improvements】 ‧ Easier-to-recognize badges: The same badge design now appears on both the Achievements page and award screen, together with its unlock requirement and date earned. ‧ Newly earned badges and newly visited cities and countries are now marked “NEW,” making them easy to find at a glance. ‧ Achievements now unlock much faster, without making you wait for hours. ‧ Smoother fog scaling: When zooming the map in or out, the entire fog layer now updates at once instead of appearing piece by piece. ‧ After taking a break, fog exploration resumes more quickly when you start moving again. ‧ State names in the United States, Canada, and Australia are now displayed in full. ‧ Choose which automatically matched photos to add: Photos are grouped by visited location, allowing you to select them individually or by group and add only the ones you want. ‧ Timestamps for badges and footprints: Every badge now shows the date it was earned, while countries, provinces, and cities in your passport show the date you first visited them. ‧ Commemorative Coins upgraded: Countries, provinces, and cities now each award their own coins. When receiving many coins at once, you can use “Collect All Remaining.” ‧ Preview your passport before sharing it, or save it directly to your photo library.

・Faster fog clearing after taking a break: After sitting down for a rest or grabbing a coffee, you can continue exploring without missing the rest of your route. ・Improved route tracking after long stops: Fixed an issue where your route could sometimes be interrupted when you started moving again after staying in one place for a long time.

・Smoother fog zooming: When zooming the map in or out, the fog now updates all at once instead of appearing piece by piece. ・Fixed an issue where tracks in mainland China could be misaligned with streets when viewed from Taiwan, Hong Kong, or other regions. ・Fixed an issue where manually changed transportation modes could sometimes be automatically reverted. ・Faster iCloud syncing, with smoother performance when switching to the background or syncing manually. ・Faster app launch, especially noticeable for users with larger amounts of data. ・Improved performance for search, monthly calendar recaps, and photo display.

・Changes to markers are now reflected immediately after editing ・Improved marker display, with icons now centered above dates in the calendar ・Improved map navigation in Trips and Recap — you can now freely pan around the map while zoomed in We're continuing to improve the way you record and revisit every trail you've taken.

This release gives the map a memory — and gets its speed back. • Press and hold anywhere on the fog to see when you first came here, when you were last here, and how many days and trips it adds up to. Drag the pin to fine-tune, and tap any visit to jump straight to that day (Pro) • Somewhere worth remembering? Tap "Mark this moment" on the map. Marks show up in that day's timeline, on the trip album map and in exported videos — and holding a date in the calendar lets you flag it with a symbol • Flights and trains leave a gap with no recording. You can now set the travel mode for those legs yourself; the map draws them as a dotted line • The fog is there the moment you open the app, and zooming no longer makes you wait. It used to get slower the further out you went and the longer you'd used the app; now a frame costs what's on screen, not what's in your history. The stutter and crashes on a fast zoom-out are fixed too • You can leave the page while a replay video exports. Progress follows you and you can cancel any time; if you're elsewhere when it finishes you get a notification, and the video is kept • The last 3 exported videos are kept, each with a thumbnail of the whole route — at the bottom of any share page, or in Settings → Exported films • Stay durations corrected: passing the same stretch of road twice is no longer counted as one multi-hour stop • Fixed a rare case where iCloud history didn't come back after deleting and reinstalling. "Create snapshot" now shows progress and when the last one was made, and if photos won't load after a reinstall you can restore them from any day or review page. Also: a new launch screen, years added to dates throughout, and less battery use

This release rebuilds how precisely the fog clears, so the lit parts of your map match the paths you actually travelled. • Truer trails: walking a narrow lane no longer lights the whole block • Return trips widen the path: come back one lane over and the corridor grows • Curves stay curved: mountain switchbacks are no longer flattened into straight lines • Cleaner edges: the scalloped ripple along long straight roads is gone • Stop-and-go is remembered: pausing for photos no longer ends with "walked for an hour, nothing recorded" • Trail width now runs finer across all four settings — adjust it in Settings → Map style The replay video got an upgrade too: • The camera no longer zooms out while you're still travelling — it rides at one zoom all the way to the finish, then pulls back to show the whole route • Every stop is a real pause now, with the place name enlarged instead of flashing past • Background music: five tracks to choose from — preview them, switch any time, or turn music off entirely On first launch after updating, Lumitrail reorganizes your explored areas in the background. The map may briefly show the previous coverage before refreshing on its own. Nothing is lost.
